what is RAMCOA?
RAMCOA is an acronym standing for Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, and Organized Abuse.
the term "ritual abuse" refers to abuse that takes place in a setting involving symbols or activities with superstitious, supernatural, or religious significance. it is a form of organized abuse, and involves multiple perpetrators. all ritual abuse is considered organized abuse.
the term "organized abuse" is defined as abuse involving one or more abusers / perpetrators, and a number of related or non-related abused children. it can take place in any setting; often with the abusers having some sort of power over the children, such as a teacher, coach, or even faith group leader.
the term "mind control" refers to a spectrum of techniques used to manipulate and control an individual's thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. this spectrum ranges from subtle forms of conditioning to the more extreme, including torture-based mind control (TBMC).
MC vs TBMC?
overall, mind control within RAMCOA can vary widely in intensity and methods, but it consistently involves efforts to control and alter the victim's mental state and autonomy.
at the lower end of the spectrum, conditioning involves psychological techniques designed to shape an individual's responses and behavior through repeated exposure to specific stimuli and reinforcement. this can include methods such as indoctrination, emotional manipulation, and social isolation. often deliberately manipulating their child victims’ attachment needs, natural development / learning patterns, and their capacity for dissociation to maintain control over them.
at the extreme end, torture-based mind control (TBMC) employs severe and traumatic techniques, such as physical, emotional, and psychological torture, to break down and reprogram an individual's mind. this form of control is often associated with ritualistic abuse, where the abusive acts are carried out in contexts that involve superstitious, supernatural, or religious elements.
the goal of TBMC is often to force victims to form strong dissociative barriers, which allows for programming. they aim to induce the development of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) in the children; and in cases where this is not successful, it may result in Other Specified Dissociative Disorder (OSDD).
can RAMCOA programming happen in OSDD systems?
programming cannot be carried out on individuals without Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) because the amnesiac properties of DID are needed for achieving complete control over the victim. DID causes severe amnesia and tertiary dissociation, which allow the abuser to compartmentalize and manipulate the victim's memories and behaviors without their conscious awareness. in contrast, Other Specified Dissociative Disorder (OSDD) types lack the extreme amnesia and tertiary dissociation seen in DID, making it impossible to achieve the same level of control and manipulation.
are all RAMCOA survivors number programmed?
no, not all RAMCOA survivors are number programmed. there are many organizational programs used, including number programming, such as cards, jewels, colors, flowers, etc. there can also be multiple organizational programs used on victims, and may or may not differ between sub / side - systems.
why can’t a non-number programmed person use number names?
number names are used to dehumanize and abuse / organize a child further, handlers are using these to make the child feel no more than a mere number. number names are also not common names, whereas jewels and colors can be commonly seen as birth names. using a number name, without it being a result of number programming, is wrong. and it can insult / hurt survivors more, seeing something used to hurt & dehumanize them, being used as an aesthetic or a 'cool' name..
wouldn't it help hide / protect actual RAMCOA victims by allowing non-victims to use number bames?
no, using number names (as someone who is not number programmed) does not help ramcoa survivors hide. if a ramcoa survivor is on the internet actively, and is speaking of their number names / using it outwardly, means that they are safe enough to do so. if they weren't, then they would not be active in online spaces using such. all you are doing by using one is putting more people at more risk of being harassed and / or mocked.
can i use number names spelled out like 'six'?
no, even spelled out it is still a number. there are exceptions, such as cultural names that may include characters that are also numericals (二, 三, etc).
can i use numbers as pronouns? such as 2/2's or two/twos?
no, even if it is not a name, you would still be asking to be referred to as a numerical by choice. often, pronouns such as she / he would be avoided when referring to a victim to further dehumanize the individual; in which the number name would replace any pronouns when referring to the person. same goes for spelled out numbers as pronouns.
can RAMCOA happen at home with parents instead of an organization? RAMCOA cannot occur solely at home without the involvement of a larger organization. for it to be considered RAMCOA, there must be an element of organized abuse on a larger scale, beyond just the family setting.
however, if parents / close relatives are involved with an organization such as a cult, this abuse can extend into the home. in such cases, the home environment is influenced by the broader organizational abuse, making it part of the larger structure. without this connection to a larger organization, the abuse at home, while still severe, would not be classified as RAMCOA.
does RAMCOA only happen in cult settings? RAMCOA does not only happen in cults, though cult environments can often make it easier enable these types of abuse.
RAMCOA can also occur in other environments such as familial settings, criminal organizations, and certain extremist groups.
these organizations can utilize similar methods of control & abuse, as RAMCOA can occur in any setting with a big power imbalance, strict control, and a desire to manipulate or harm people.
how do i report trafficking / RAMCOA?
first, ensure your personal safety. if you feel threatened, find a secure location before making a report. gather and document as much evidence as possible without compromising your own safety. this could include photos, videos, written accounts, and / or witness statements.
take this directly to federal authorities, especially if local law enforcement is unhelpful and / or involved in such.
the FBI (federal bureau of investigation), FBI deals with human trafficking and organized crime, including cult activities. you can report via the FBI tip line; 1-800-225-5324, or the FBI online tip form. there are also FBI field offices in some area, if you have a local one (you can check for their contact information / exact location online), you can report it there.
another option is national human trafficking hotlines: the national human trafficking hotline provides resources and support for trafficking victims and can assist in connecting with appropriate services and law enforcement. hotline number; 1-888-373-7888, text line; text "HELP" or "INFO" to 233733. there is also ab online chat. their website can be found at humantraffickinghotline.org.
you can also reach out to non-governmental organizations (NGOs): polaris works to combat and prevent modern-day slavery and human trafficking. polarisproject.org. national center for missing & exploited children (NCMEC). hotline: 1-800-843-5678. website: missingkids.org.
if the trafficking involves international elements, organizations such as interpol and various international NGOs can be contacted. interpol: interpol human trafficking.
tips for making reports: be specific. when reporting, provide as many specific details as possible, including names, locations, dates, and / or any known involvement of law enforcement. stay anonymous if necessary: you can request to remain anonymous if you fear retaliation of any kind. follow up: follow ups are very encouraged to ensure it is being taken seriously.
should i assume i went through RAMCOA based on this info?
it is important to remember that while online resources can provide helpful insights, they can also be overwhelming and sometimes misleading. there has been a significant amount of self - evaluation done and a LOT of false information spreading within the community as a result. (such as a main RAMCOA resource taking information from a book that was written by a well known RAMCOA conspiracy theorist.)
many (well - meaning) individuals may misinterpret their experiences based on what they read online, as well as a handful of people who may claim to be RAMCOA victims because they want to feel different or validate the severity of their trauma. this can result in exaggerating or fabricating experiences, and it is important to recognize that everyones experiences are valid, and you don’t need to claim or appropriate extreme forms of trauma / torture to feel validated or to receive the support you deserve.
RAMCOA is a very specific and rare set of experiences & trauma. assuming such experiences should be guided by a professional who can help you through your memories and feelings in a safe environment, especially by a therapist or specialist who is well informed with such topics. self - evaluation, especially with something as complex as RAMCOA, can lead to unnecessary distress and confusion.
if you are feeling uncertain or troubled by what you have read, i suggest talking to a therapist or counselor who specializes in RAMCOA trauma / the treatment of RAMCOA survivors / victims. they can provide guidance and support specific to your situation and place in recovery.
i've experienced x, am i a RAMCOA victim?
not all RAMCOA victims present the same way or have the same experiences, so it's important to understand that individual experiences can vary widely, and you cannot determine whether you are a RAMCOA victim based on a single experience alone. not all RAMCOA victims have DID / OSDD, not all RAMCOA victims have religious cult trauma, not all RAMCOA victims are programmed, not all RAMCOA victims have been through each type of abuse, etc. if you believe you might be a victim of RAMCOA, it is important to seek professional help for a proper assessment and support.
why is it bad to claim RAMCOA without speaking to a professional?
RAMCOA involves extremely complex and severe forms of abuse and manipulation. a trained professional can accurately assess and 'diagnose' the presence and extent of such trauma, making sure that your experiences are understood correctly.
professionals can offer personal approaches that are specifically designed to address the needs of RAMCOA survivors. a professional can also connect you with specialized resources, support groups, and services that are needed for recovery and healing.
in cases where legal action may be necessary, a professionals documentation and testimony can be important. professionals can also assist in creating safety plans to protect your identity and anonymity.
in the case of peoples claims turning out to be false, claiming you are a victim of RAMCOA without consulting a professional can lead to misunderstandings / misrepresentations of others experiences. this can (negatively) affect other victims credibility and the potential for receiving appropriate support and interventions.
