The Reasons To Work With This Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers can be ideal for those who are looking to remove mopping from their to-do lists. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer on turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through a clean.

It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to remove dirt, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum for mopping purposes, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.

The device has a powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and intelligently. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach areas. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.

It's expensive, however it has many useful features. However, it's important to note that it incurs regular expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every three months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide range of physical automation features. These include the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. It's a top-performing device, smart navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping system with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its accurate floorplan which it uses to create the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers that help to protect specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture some of the hair our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some lovely jingles to indicated when it was starting or completing its task.

Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the necessity to change out the modules when switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its enormous dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base comes with several control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On automatic vacuum , the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy units.
