RCTA / ECTA iNFO CARD

. . # 1 what is rcta/ecta?
rcta means "race change to another" and ecta means "ethnicity change to another" both of these terms were coined around 2021, and are still used today along with a couple other terms, such as: gcdr (gradually change to desired race) or esu (ethnicity subliminal user). Many RCTA people feel connected to other cultures, or have experienced discrimination because of their primary race. We do not support people being RCTA for "aesthetic" purposes.

. . # 2 is rcta/ecta racist?
No. The definition of racism is "discrimination and prejudice against people based on their race or ethnicity." RCTA does not discriminate anyone. We are a very open and supportive community.

. . # 3 who are antis/baits?
Antis are people who hate on RCTA, ethnicity subliminals and the whole aspect of ethnicity change. Antis often misunderstand RCTA and people who are RCTA. Meanwhile, baits are people who fake being RCTA, mostly for attention or to sabotage the community and its reputation. Baits can resort to inapproporiate or racist behavior. Please, remember that the real RCTA community is nothing like baits.

. . # 4 is rcta fetishization?
Again, the definition of fetishizing is clear; "to have a sexual interest in an object or a part of the body other than the sexual organs, or in a person as if they are an object". RCTA does not fetishize any culture or race. We feel connected to other cultures, and it has nothing to do with attraction or sexual preferences.

. . # 5 why do so many people feel connected to east asian cultures?
I get asked this question a lot, and there's no specific answer to it. Although it's true that many people are RCTA to asian, but it's not everyone. I've met many people who are RCTA, but aren't asian. You can change to any race you feel connected to.

. . # 6 how to tell if someone is RCTA only for ''aesthetic'' purposes?
The difference between real RCTA's and people who do it for the "aesthetic" is that there isn't an aesthetic associated with any culture, nor can a culture become an aesthetic. People who want to change their race for ''aesthetic'' tend to have no to very little interest in the countries actual culture, and not the pop culture. Here is an example that shows the difference between an actual RCTA and someone who does it for the ''aesthetic''.
(I am going to use South Korean RCTA as an example.)

Meet Mi-Seon. Mi-Seon is a 15 year old girl, who was always interested in various cultures and countries. The South Korean culture has recently piqued her interest, making her want to learn more about it. Mi-seon started to do research on the South Korean culture, along with learning the Korean language (Hangul). Not so long after, she noticed that she feels really connected to the culture, and it feels like she belongs there. Mi-seon started learning about various South Korean traditions and the countries history. She then chose a Korean name that she liked, and started using it. Mi-Seon understands, that South Korea also has its flaws, and she treats her new country just like any other, without glamorizing it. Mi-Seon is actual RCTA.

And now, meet Tae-Hyun. Tae-Hyun is also 15 years old and claims to identify as RCTA. Tae-Hyun doesn't know anything about the actual Korean culture, he is only interested in pop culture (K-POP, K-Dramas etc). Tae-Hyun thinks that everyone in South Korea is a k-pop idol, or listens to k-pop. He also wants to look exactly like his favorite idol, and become a one. Tae-Hyun thinks of South Korea as a perfect country with no flaws, and doesn't see that like every country, South Korea also has a "dark side". Tae-Hyun is not RCTA.

. . # 7 do subliminals work?
Yes. But subliminals only work, when your subconscious mind wants them to. The subliminals won't work if you subconsciously don't want them to, or if you're overly doubting them. Subliminals are still a fairly new concept, and there aren't a lot of studies about them, but from my experience, they do work.

this page is still work in progress !!
