its unfortunately a common misconception that personality disorders cannot be treated, which is untrue, the reality is that personality disorders can be treated but not cured, ones symptoms can absolutely go into remission but they can always return and continue to affect you, while medication can help (this could be antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers ) for certain personality disorders, medication will not always work, but theres always a chance that medication wont work, the standard reccomendation for personality disorder treatment is psychotherapy, more specifically dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognative behavioral therapy (CBT), metallization based therapy (MBT), schema focused therapy, and transference focused psychotherapy (TFP), each help with different things but the basic jist is learning to manage ones emotions and identifying ones core beliefs that might be affecting their progress

there is also the option to do self work but without a professional to help you with it it can seem very difficult and pointless, and a lot of people just end up stopping, not to mention that all the methods are very superficial and have no guarantee of being beneficial because theyre just things like getting enough sleep and food, taking walks and whatnot, and these things could be helpful but there is very little progress without actual therapy back
