acins epic tutorial on using metadata borders
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
im gonna keep it real with you, metadata borders are genuinely a pain in the ass to work with.. you gotta mess around with them and change the width and all the and UGH.. but i wanna help you with that because as said.. borders are hard.. but just a heads up.. this shit is long.. because theres a lot to explain ANYWAY with this tutorial youll be able to figure out how to do shit like this:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

( normal lined border )

( normal image border )

( inverted image border )

( border "extending" out of the container )

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
on this rentry you learn what each metadata option is and stuff,, if you click on the text beneath the image with the border you wanna learn how to do youll find out how to do it.
⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
ok.. so what are the metadata options for the normal lined border??
⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
here they are.. also ill explain them

  • CONTAINER_BORDER_COLOR = #hexcode
    • the colour your border is, also hexcode can be changed to a colour from the rentry color list
  • CONTAINER_BORDER_WIDTH = 1-40px
    • how wide your border is, can be between
      • 1-40px
      • 1-15%
      • 1-5vh OR hw
      • 1-4rem
  • CONTAINER_BORDER_STYLE = solid
    • the kind of border it is, can be
      • dotted
      • dashed
      • solid
      • double
      • groove
      • ridge
      • inset
      • outset
  • CONTAINER_BORDER_RADIUS = 0-200px

    • how rounded the edges of your border are (0 being sharp corners and 200 being fully rounded)
anyway heres the min/max values for the radius:
      • 0-200px
      • 0-50%
      • 0-40vh OR hw
      • 0-30rem
    • also important to include that you can do specific corners if you format it like:
      TOP RIGHT BOTTOM LEFT
      (e.g 40px 20px 50px 10px)
otherwise it defaults to affecting all the corners

⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
what about shadows?
⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
ok

  • CONTAINER_SHADOW_COLOR = #hexcode
    • the colour your shadow is, also hexcode can be changed to a colour from the rentry color list
  • CONTAINER_SHADOW_SPREAD = 0-30px
    • how thick/wide your shadow is.. basically the same as the border width
      • 0-30px
      • 0-10%
      • 0-5vh OR hw
      • 0-3rem
  • CONTAINER_SHADOW_BLUR = 0-30px
    • how blurry your shadow is, make it above like 5px otherwise it looks like a border
      • 0-30px
      • 0-10%
      • 0-5vh OR hw
      • 0-3rem

⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
image borders oh my god..
⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
first of all.. where u can find borders: NONE ARE MINE

ok.. now ill explain (lots of reading sorray..)

  • CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE = URL
    • any image url which looks like the images found in the rentrys listed above.. might help to download them, throw them into a file hosting site and then insert them with that link, but do add credit
  • CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE_SLICE = 0-100%
    • how the border image will be cut up, definitely a trial and error thing.. but i usually go for between 13-20% also you CAN have no unit but thats between 0-20
  • CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE_WIDTH = 0-30px

    • the width of the border image, i usually go for 30px but again you can do:
      • 0-20 no unit
      • 0-100%
    • also important to include that you can do specific widths if you format it like:
      TOP RIGHT BOTTOM LEFT
      (e.g 40px 20px 50px 10px)
otherwise it defaults to affecting all the corners of the container
  • CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE_OUTSET = 0-30px
    • how far the border image is out,, i usually go for 30px as well. once again you can also do:
      • 0-20 no unit
  • CONTAINER_BORDER_IMAGE_REPEAT = n/a
    • if the border image repeats or not and how (examples are there,, click on the options below.. basically all the first 3 are the same.. space is just a little odd.)

⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
hope this helped!! go back to the tutorials?
