modpack v0.1.1 notes

OLD VERSION. NEWEST VERSION HERE

this is a pre-alpha release of the 3.5.0 modpack. expect there to be jank and shoddiness.

after playing for a bit, try and tweak the settings of a mod if you feel it might improve the experience
then give me feedback so that I can test it out myself and possibly implement it

I recommend that you use the "SPT Realism" starting preset, as it appropriately starts you off
without much economically, but instead of a pouch it gives you an Alpha container (Softcore buffs it to 3x3)

SETTING UP SP-Tarkov:

  • download Tarkov with the official launcher
  • make a folder that's anywhere OTHER than program files or the live tarkov directory, for the new SPT-AKI install (35 gigs)
  • download installer v1.1.4 from https://hub.sp-tarkov.com/files/download/3320/
  • place SPT_AKI_Installer.exe inside the new folder you just made and run it
  • it should download the patcher for your Tarkov version, as well as SPT-AKI's files, and do all setup for you
  • congrats, you have a new Singleplayer Tarkov installation
  • first time launch: start server, start launcher, create account, play.

INSTALLING THE MODPACK:

  • the new folder for the SPT-AKI install you just made shall be referred to as <SPT-root>
  • <SPT-root> is the folder that contains "Aki_Data", "BepInEx", etc. folders
  • recommended to do first time launch (from above section) before installing mods
  • to install a part of the modpack, open that part's folder and extract all subfolders to <SPT-root>
  • overwrite/replace files if necessary

UPDATING MODS:
for now, if there's a new version of a mod and I haven't published a patch yet,
bug me on discord and I'll do my best to get it out ASAP.
or, if you're fully sure that you know what you're doing, and you insist, you can do it yourself ig.

if this SPT-AKI release becomes outdated (and thus unsupported), and you lose the files,
then I can maybe give you my backup of Tarkov + AKI 3.5.0 created with the installer
just ask me for it, or ask whoever shared this modpack with you to pass the message along

if you want to change mod load order using a graphical interface rather than text files,
or if you want to edit config files in an easier, "prettified" way,
then see the bottom of this file for a link to a mod manager.

list of mods:
(* denotes a mod that I supplied a custom config file for)

core/QoL mods that are at least somewhat important

  • JustNU Core 1.1.0
    • other mods might depend on this being installed
  • SPT Realism 0.7.4 *
    • (NOTE: has BepInEx companion plugin specifically for gun handling stuff)
    • I could go into significant detail about what changes are made
    • However, you could just open up the mod configuration app
    • and hover over each option to learn more.
    • Don't check the "Remove Found-in-Raid Requirements" tickbox though.
    • It doesn't quite work as advertised, since it makes items you buy from traders & flea FIR.
    • That breaks Softcore's mechanics somewhat badly.
    • Custom config is mainly intended for it to get out of Softcore's way while increasing the chances of encountering friendly NPCs within the same faction.
  • Softcore 1.2.0 *
    • LOTS of out-of-raid progression/economy changes oriented towards improved singleplayer experience
    • notable changes to flea: selling disabled, barter/meds/food/info items only
    • vast majority of flea offers will be barter trades, only fulfillable with FIR items
    • also notable: stash always starts at 10x50 at lv1 and can go up to 10x200 at lv4
    • secure containers are also buffed, get up to a 4x5 Gamma thru crafting or 5x5 Kappa through adjusted Collector quest
  • Weight Tweaker 1.3.0 *
    • buffs weight limits slightly
    • probably needs some config adjustment tbh
    • use the mod-compatible settings
  • Item Info 3.1.3 *
    • gives detailed price info in item description
    • DO NOT enable flea abuse patch (conflicts with softcore, which fixes that anyways)
    • you also might not want to enable item coloring by price
    • at least not without sorting this to load before Useless Key Blacklist and SPT R. Ammo Stats
  • SPT Realism Ammo Stats 1.0.1 *
    • colors based on penetration stat, lowest to highest:
    • red->orange->yellow->green->blue->purple

  • Snofielf's Balanced Night Vision (SBNV) 1.0.4
    • adjusts nightvision devices so that they don't suck
  • Useless Key Blacklist 1.1.1
    • keys colored red if practically useless
    • key colored orange if only useful for barters and nothing else
    • removes useless keys from loot pools (sort at bottom of load order to ensure this)
  • Select Entry Point 1.0.2
    • bringing the correct map to a raid lets you pick spawn point
    • escape from tarkov maps have north at the bottom and south at the top
  • KMC Server Value Modifier 1.6.1
    • Very useful for changing default config values of the server in a safe manner
    • I have no config file for this, lots of what I would need from this mod is covered by other mods
    • Make sure the play with this modpack for a bit before you start changing stuff using this
    • Should be pretty safe with the default load order, some of your changes might not make it thru tho
    • Make sure you're using the GFVE.exe program in the mod folder for the best experience
  • SPT Local DB Website for 3.5.0
    • not at all required, but it generates a database that includes mods you have installed
    • good for code-diving your own install, if you ever want to do that
    • to access the website, start SPT server then open in web browser: http://localhost:6969/db-website
  • Bad Dragon Armband 1.0.3

    • equip on a USEC PMC for best results

    deepest lore:

    • as a member of USEX, you were assigned to protect the interests of Bad Dragon Enterprises, Inc.
    • within the Norvinsk special economic zone, defending its property from the russkie black ops.
    • were they just going after the e6 CDN server, or was there more that they were trying to stop? (spoiler: (ʎןpǝƃǝןןɐ) sʇsɐɔ ǝʌıן)
    • you used to love the antichrist, but now...
    • now you're not so sure.
client plugins (BepInEx/plugins folder)

(you configure these with F12 menu in-game, or in BepInEx\config folder)

  • Amands's Hitmarker 2.2.0
    • self explanatory but also provides Battlefield-style kill messages
  • Adrenaline 1.0.4
    • get a short 30s painkiller effect on getting shot or hit by an explosion
  • Watch Animations 1.0.1
    • checking raid time/extracts plays a short animation where you check your watch
  • Reflex Sights Rework 1.0.2
    • sight picture improvment for some reflex sights
  • FU Inertia 1.8.0
    • nixes player inertia. works fine out-of-the-box, configurability is just there if you really need it
  • Immersive Raids 1.0.6
    • raids only end on death or extraction and run in real, local time (except for Factory)
    • every hour, cleans up corpses and runs an airdrop. (useful, helps prevent game crashes)
    • slowed hydration+energy decay (also useful)
    • if you don't want to deploy at your actual local time, then invert time with F12 config
  • No AI ESP 1.0.3
    • slight AI behavior tweak that makes them not instantly spot you when aiming at them
  • notGreg's Scope Tweaks 3.5.0
    • Fixes magnified optics in Tarkov, especially with using AMD FSR, NVIDIA DLSS, or resampling
    • Also fixes breaking at high FOV values
  • Sixth Sense 3.5.X *
    • plays a sound when an enemy is looking at you with the intent to kill
    • makes the game just a bit more fun/fair, still pretty easy to die even if you have this
    • volume and cooldown can be adjusted in F12 settings
    • you can replace audio.ogg in the mod folder with any .ogg file to change the sound
    • there is an optional folder included with modpack to replace default World of Tanks sound with MGS alert
    • custom config turns down volume by default
  • Geneburn Music Pack v1.1.0
    • adds more music made by Nikita to the main menu playlist
    • helps a lot with variety
    • if you want, you can choose to replace the main menu music. see below.
