Beneath a weeping willow tree.
The rippling sound of flowing celestial waters echoes distantly from a healing shrine of Lantra
nearby. This location is flooded with shallow, crystal clear water. A peaceful gurgling sound rises
from a small stream, which meanders from the west and flows into a well-maintained pond, adding to
the tranquil quality in the air. A rounded island of wet grass sits within the pond, connected to
the bank by a narrow wooden footbridge which seems to have borne countless travelers to the little
isle. The island itself is home to a large weeping willow tree, which struggles to stay upright as
the myriad of branches and leaves droop down into the pond below. Small, brightly colored fish flit
around the island, playfully nipping at the small drops of water which fall from the willow. Fresh
breezes stir the branches of the ancient tree like soft sighs and whispers that pervade the island,
making it an ideal spot to meditate.
You see exits leading southeast, southwest, and west.

You settle to the ground in a cross-legged position, inhaling deeply. As you bring your hands up to
rest open-palmed at either side, you exhale, clearing your mind.

Cheliyi enters from the southwest, a thin sheen of water rippling outward from every step.
Trailing in a bone-chilling fog, Muginn, the ghost-feathered magpie flies in from the southwest.

Cheliyi greets you with a nod, her frills puffed respectfully.

Cheliyi gives a bowl of delicate spring wontons to you.

Avaris's antennae twitch at Cheliyi's arrival, his head tilting curiously. "Ah.
Thank you, Cheliyi. You are most kind."

Loping lithely in from the southeast, a silver-furred vixen sniffs the air.

Cheliyi smiles sheepishly, offering a nod. "Ah, are welcomes. Have not talked in a whiles, and I
guess... uh. Was wondering if I could ask you somethings?" Her tail flicks behind her, once, twice,
only to still as she fidgets with the straps of her gloves. "If you feel like you will not be waking
for much longers, I completely understands, by the bys."

Cheliyi blinks.

Cheliyi tilts her head curiously at a silver-furred vixen.

Cheliyi thinks to herself: Is there usuallies a fox here? Hm.

Avaris folds his long, golden hands together atop his knees, the fingers
interlocking into a neat array of sharply jointed lines. He indicates the grass beside him with a
slight tilt of his head, inviting, "By all means, do so. I will be awake for many days yet. You are
free to join me, if you wish - As for the fox, I was curious about that myself. Odd, to see one
here."

Cheliyi's blinks slowly, her dull gaze settling on your own with a hint of disconnect, before she
suddenly blinks once more. "Oh! Um, yes, let me just..." she trails off into a murmur, quickly
shuffling over to sit beside the much larger kephera. There's a moment of awkward shifting as she
settles in place, her frilled tail curling around to meet her feet. "Not sure, why the fox is heres.
Those usually tend to bes in Serenwildes, but did not seem to have a loyalties to any one persons.
Maybe is a friend of one of the monks, here. But, ah..."

Cheliyi thinks to herself:He's much more bigly, than before. Must be a thing for his demigods shaping.

((Some chatter on the city channels about farmers and statues?? I'm honestly not at all sure what it was about but I assume it was bad!))

Cheliyi curls her nose up and grimaces awfully.

Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity murmurs, "Don't
know how to makes thoses."

Avaris's expansive chest rises and falls in a slow, steady rhythm, the dense plates
of aureate chitin gleaming like liquid gold in the morning light as the huge kephera breathes. He
waits patiently for Cheliyi to grow settled, then replies calmly, "It is not, so far as I am aware.
I have yet to see it before, and I spend no small amount of time here." The point of his chin
lowers, brushing the tip of the spume of white fluff that rises at his throat. "Nor do I. Take your
time. I am content to wait until you are centered. Feel free to absorb the tranquility of this place
for as long as you require."

You think to yourself: A benign sense of placid peace, as still and serene as a pool of light
beneath a starlit sky.

Cheliyi looks about ready to leap up and sprint away to the fray, only to sigh and shake her head.
Rolling her shoulders, she closes her eyes and takes a steadying breath. "Well, lets hope it is just
a friends, yes. Do not feel like hunting a fox, at the moments." Her fingers unclasp a gentle water
lily brooch from her blanket, allowing her to shoulder the fabric away and stretch her forearms. "Is
a nice place, to spend lots of times. Sister Willow provides nice shade, when she is not weeping."

Avaris ,by contrast, remains as unmoving as if he were simply another statue placed
within the confines of the park. "Perhaps. No doubt the vigilant citizenry will alert us if it gets
into any mischief." A gentle inclination of his great, helm-like head precedes, "It is one of my
favourites, yes. The studies are most conducive to quiet work, as well, if you have yet to pay them
a visit." The liquid, sanguine flow of his larger right antenna drifts back towards the willow in a
curious, fluid motion. "She cries, in truth, then, and not merely in name?"

You think to yourself: "That seems a sad thing indeed, if so. Why do trees weep? Do they mourn
seedlings that will never take root, perhaps? Grieve for loves lost to the bite of an axe's sharp
appetite?"

Cheliyi offers a cheerful grin, finally stilling after all of her fidgeting. However, not unlike the
tree that sways above, there is still some minute movement that keeps her constantly in motion. "Mm.
It's just in her natures, though it is not always sad weepings, no. Sometimes, is silly, over like
what kind of wind blows in her branches, if it is too warm to too colds. Complaining is her
favorites pastimes, so no one usually-" Her words stumble as her gaze loses present focus, frills
twitching to some unheard sound. "Ah, um. Does weep about those ones, too. Whole... um. All of thems
mourn that, usually, though it is like... a quiet moments of pause in their song." She adds, a frown
tugging at her lips.

Cheliyi thinks to herself: like someone stabbing you in your lungs, carving out a hole, the pain of that memory... cradling your sibling who you -promised- to protect, torn to shreds by someone you foolishly trusted, fool, fool, fool, you should -protect- them but you left and you -slept-, fool, fool fool-.

The seven smooth, polished spheres that form Avaris's alien eyes glimmer with a
wave of rippling light at the response, a soft exhalation of mirth escaping from his visored face.
"No doubt she complains about having to endure the presence of myself so often. Do convey my
apologies to her, if you would be so kind, and my gratitude for her forbearance." The ridged flares
of his jaw catches the diffuse light of the stars as he tilts his head in a curious manner, asking,
"What do trees sound like? Do they speak, as we do?"

Loping lithely in from the southwest, a silver-furred vixen sniffs the air.

Cheliyi swallows suddenly, and shakes her head. Then, as if noticing for the first time that you
sits beside her, she lets out a quiet laugh of surprise. "She likes you, so it's already fines. If
she did -not- like you, would knows. ".

Cheliyi pets a silver-furred vixen ingratiatingly.

A silver-furred vixen lopes away to the west.

Rubbing at her eyes, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity says, "And, wells. Is, I guess, easier
for mes to understands, since I spent so long as a druid, and was raised by thems. I guess...
easiest ways to describe is that is like those big songly things that they have in Hallifaxes.
The... um... Opppperasss? Or symphonies, yes. With all of the bigly instruments. Each plant has a
song, and a parts to play in the wholes. Just... the instruments are not what you'd expect. The
creaks of barks, rustle of leaves... and so ons."

The upward sweeping blades of Avaris's crest cut through the air without haste as
he lean his head back to regard the trailing branches of the willow tree. "Would I? I cannot speak
with plants, so I assume she would express her displeasure in some other manner." He pauses,
considering, and then ventures, "Would she...Hit me with a branch? Dislodge some leaves to fall into
one of my eyes?"

Without lowering his head, Avaris utters a noise of comprehension, the sound
harmonic and pleasant. "I see. That sounds most enjoyable. Do your eyes trouble you, Cheliyi?"

Cheliyi smiles at last at your suggestions of plant warfare, wry and amused. "Mm...." she hums
pensively, leaning back at an awkward angle to consider the trunk of the looming willow.

Cheliyi thinks to herself: reaching out, like tugging gently on a branch, there is her song, unburdened by pain but mournful all the same... what would you do, sister?.

A wry smile spreads across Cheliyi's face.

Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity says, "Pelt you
with branches, I thinks."

Hiding a grin, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity says, "Since she does not have acorns."

Cheliyi glances askance.

Avaris nods in a solemn manner, his tone grave as he disengages one of his hands to
brush his pointed fingertips along the gently curving expanse of his armoured chest, the resulting
whisper of sound almost metallic in nature. "It is well, then, that I am not so easily wounded by
the displeasure of moody trees."

You think to yourself: Slight amusement at the imagery of himself being whipped by an animate willow
tree, which creaks and crackles like an ornery old woman.

Cheliyi offers a soft smile, looking down to her lap. "And, well to answer your questions... Always
have been bothered by my eyes. Is not something easily healables, and trust me, have tried. Are hurt
by bright lights, and cannot see very wells." The mugwump sighs, pulling off her spectacles.
"Peoples memories always seem so crisp, yes. Like the feel of a sharp blade, instead of a dull one.
Wish I could see the worlds like that, sometimes. But, know is a lot to ask, so I am just trying to
find ways to make light not hurt as muchly. Since. You knows. We live in a city full of its."

Rubbing at her temples, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity says, "Mixter Esei says that my eyes
were grown -back- wrong. That they are so damaged, that even if they tried to regrows them, is not
likely to help since apparently, my -skull- grew wrongly. Was hurt very badly when I was youngers,
so. Makes sense.

From seemingly nowhere, Bizirik appears, braided green tea pesto bread clutched in its set of
smaller forelimbs. It clumsily hands braided green tea pesto bread over to you before slinking back
off.

Appearing from seemingly nowhere, Bizirik pads over to Cheliyi, braided green tea pesto bread
clutched in its smaller set of forelimbs. It clumsily hands braided green tea pesto bread over to
Cheliyi before quickly slinking away.

Cheliyi blinks.

Cheliyi smiles softly at braided green tea pesto bread.

The 'Ah' that Avaris gives life to in response to Cheliyi's answer is a soft sound,
woven of gentle, vibrating notes, as wind caressing the strings of a harp. "That sounds like a most
unpleasant burden to bear." He lapses into silence for a time, considering, then gestures at the
ampoule attached to his hip via a slender chain that loops through the golden chitin itself. "Damage
that is inflicted can, generally, be rectified. So long as you were not born with the defect, there
is hope. Have you asked my Lady for Her assessment?"

Avaris takes the bread with a murmur of thanks to the departing leothin, carefully
setting it before the food that Cheliyi brought earlier.

Softly, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity murmurs, "Dids, actually. Said She would help, if She
had time and I was not healed before by someone else. Since She is busy with an... um. Well, is
something -very- importants, that I also care about, so I do not mind waitings at alls."

Expression softening, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity says, "She's really kind. Told me I
should try to find a healers first, who might be ables to help, since said that suffering for the
sake of sufferings is pointless. Tried to follow Her advice, and now I feel kind of bad that it is
something probably only She could help withs."

Avaris nods in a benign manner, running the edge of his thumb across the globe of
liquid starlight with a reverent air. "She is surpassingly good, yes. You were wise to go to Her -
Though a touch foolish if you think that you should feel bad that your ailment is something that
only my Lady is capable of dealing with." He lifts his hand from the object, fingers glancing along
the silver edges of the lotus, before folding his hands together once more. "She would be pleased to
end your suffering, and to grant you renewed sight. I doubt that it would even occur to Her that you
should feel anything of the sort, so long as your intent is pure, and true."

You think to yourself: A swelling, effulgent sense of endless admiration and deep, thrumming
affection for his Lady, warm and steady as summer sunlight.

Cheliyi stares at you for a long moment, searching your face for something. Her dull gaze in
unblinking, almost disbelieving. Suddenly, she blurts out, "Do you like being in Her Orders? Is- is
it nice?"

Cheliyi blushes furiously.

The kephera's face is, alas, entirely unreadable, composed as it is of smooth,
featureless planes and sharp ridges - Even Avaris's eyes do not crease or widen in reaction to
anything at all. His antennae, however, are as expressive as can be, twitching and flowing like
festive streamers suspended in a gentle current. His voice is warm and solid as the walls of a fort
heated by the day's light, as he reponds, "Yes. It is the single most fulfilling facet of my life,
Cheliyi. She is good, and kind, and wise. Gentle." He lifts his upper right hand, curling the
lengthy digits into a tight fist, though his words remain calm, level. "But strong. So very strong."
Lowering his hand, he lapses into silence for a time, and then prompts, "Is that the question you
wished to ask of me when you first came to me?"

You think to yourself: The sincerity and strength of conviction that his words carry are as nothing
to the intensity that they are formed from within his soul, his heart. His regard for his Lady is as
radiant and unyielding as a star forged from hardened light, steady and calm, implacable.

Cheliyi's brow furrows and she glances away. Her frills droop slightly, the mugwump beginning to
seemingly curl in on herself as she pulls her hands into her lap. Staring at an oddly bare section
of her right forearm, which is otherwise adorned with bracelets and cloth, she murmurs, "Ah, yes.
Was my original question." Her right hand temporarily tightens into a fist, the leather creaking as
various joints pop along her limb. "Am... um. Glad that She has such a devout followings, yes. Is
good, when Divines have thats."

Cheliyi thinks to herself: a sense of unease, rolling over you... you should be glad to hear, that She is so good. that they love Her so much. but... people loved Him, too. you loved Him. you've been wrong before. and you left, didn't you? not good enough, no..
Cheliyi thinks to herself: Why did I even ask? The converstation was going so well...

Avaris dips his head in a small nod, facing out across the waters without
expression, though his demeanour manages to be benign, despite this. Evidently content to allow no
speech to pass for a time, he remains still, save for the gentle drift of feather and mane as the
breeze passes over his statuesque form. Eventually, in a quiet voice, he asks, "You are drawn to
Her, are you not?"

Cheliyi remains quiet throughout the duration of silence, her gaze distant as the day wears on. Her
left thumb rubs soothing motions over the exposed skin, her hunched posture slowly relaxing. At your
question, she doesn't tense or give any indication of having heard the query for a long time, still
rubbing circles into her forearm.

Softly, as if the admission pains her, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity murmurs, "I believe
so."

Quietly, not without bitter mirth, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity says, "Though, my track
records with Divines is not the bests, nos."

Avaris's wings shift, stirring with the quiet susurrus of feathers rubbing against
one another. "My Lady is not like the other Divine that have harmed you or others in the past,
Cheliyi. You may find that She understands what it is to have been scarred by those that should have
been trustworthy." Delicately, he unlaces his fingers, shifting his upper left hand to touch the
beads that wrap about the spiked halo of his pauldron. "What holds you back from seeking Her Order
as your home, Cheliyi?"

Cheliyi opens her mouth as if to say something, but pauses.

Avaris's smaller antenna closest to Cheliyi bends towards Cheliyi, but otherwise he
makes no motion or sound, waiting patiently.

Cheliyi grimaces, staring down at her hands. "Ah, um." A quiet clearing of her throat. "Apologies,
sometimes my speakings is hard, yes. I am just..." she trails off once more, rolling her shoulders
to force them to lower. "I trusted, very blindly, befores. And, what one person may consider
kindness and goodness... may not be the same as mines. I... I -know- She is very kind and goodly and
strong. Probably have similar values to Her tenets. But, left my previous Divine, and I doubt any
Ones would want someone who is un-loyal. Even if I do not regret leaving Him, it is still not..."

Cheliyi shakes her head.

Avaris waves his hand aside in a gentle arc, dismissing the apology. "You are not
alone in that. I often struggle with expression, myself." Settling the hand down atop the broad,
curving armouring of his thigh, he exhales slowly, nodding. His voice is steady, and level - Though
the words are less than gentle, his tone is not unkind. A simple, calm expression of fact. "No. I
would drive out any that are disloyal to my Lady, if She were not to forbid me from doing so. She
deserves better than that, and has suffered weak-willed friends and inconstant hearts more than
enough." Turning to face Cheliyi, the sweep of his antenna curves up, twitching minutely. "But do
not take that as censure - Simply be sure that Her Order is what you desire, before you seek to
join. Spend time learning of Her, speaking with those who follow Her. Meditate on why He yet stains
your heart, and how you might be free of His influence."

You think to yourself: "Shadows are damnably persistent at resisting the purifying quality of the
Light, for something that is traditionally banished by it. If any can cleanse a heart that has been
sickened by the influence of One such as He, it is my Lady. Heal the eyes of the flesh, and of the
heart, so that both can see true. That is the way forward."

Cheliyi thinks to herself: a flare of indignance, He does not -stain- your heart, He is just-....

Cheliyi at first straightens with indignant on her lips, only for her thoughts to visibly stumble
and fall apart as her eyes slightly widen with shock. Once more, her voice is rendered useless as
she stares blankly before her, left hand gripping her right forearm with the uncomfortable creak of
tightening leather.

Cheliyi thinks to herself: Why am I defending Him?

Quietly uncertain, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity says, "I... He doesn't have like... a
-holds- on me. Am not in His Order, do not usually thinks about Him. Is just... harder to trust
Divines. Is how all of thems are."

Cheliyi thinks to herself: the throbbing ache, returning, no, wait, you let -go-, you were lighter, weren't you? it doesn't hurt. it shouldn't hurt..

Cheliyi thinks to herself: flickers of memories, shadows, whispering just to you in jeering murmurs, the anger that surges in your chest when you see His shadowed form, betrayed, betrayed, betrayed... but by who?.
Cheliyi thinks to herself: an echo, of His whisper, "But worry not. I'll depart shortly and they'll tell you nothing is wrong. They'll tell you all the lies you crave, my withered sapling. I hope the Light doesn't completely drown you, all the same. What a waste that would be.".

Gently, but with a solidity of conviction that would beggar a castle rampart,
Avaris says, "He does. You may not be able to see it from the inside, but He does. I can see it
clearly, as can my Lady, no doubt. Every whisper of doubt that creeps into your mind about the
Divine, about your worthiness, about whether you belong in the Light - That is His voice, Cheliyi,
directly or otherwise. His shroud blurs your perspective, even here."

Cheliyi's grip on her arm tightens to a point that must surely be painful, though the mugwump seems
not to notice. Quietly, she protests, "But I let go. I... I -left- and I let go. Do not even carry
His shroud anymore, do not..."

The hard, golden chitin of Avaris's left hand gleams in the light in an almost
liquid fashion as he reaches out to place the points of his fingers gently atop Cheliyi's
constricting grip. Firmly, but kindly, he commands, "Stop that. You have hurts enough without
inflicting more upon yourself." Withdrawing his hand, he taps the edge of his knuckles against the
polished expanse of his thigh, the gesture thoughtful. "Do you really believe so? You truly, without
a shadow of a doubt, think that He has no hold on you, does not warp how you see and interpret the
world, the other Divine?"

Cheliyi visibly jolts at your touch, her frills rippling in rolling waves from their bases to their
very tips as her hand releases its vice-like grip. Left behind is a hand shaped bruise, which the
mugwump glances down and winces at. "Is... is not like He is whispering in my ear, or somethings.
Has better things to do that to deal with a Childe who left Him. And, how could my eyes not be
openeds?" She tests her forearm with another wince, glancing to your hand. "I went ins to His Order,
with false expectations. Was so naive. Thought that He was somehow the kinds one, and... yes. Is
kind, to His own. But... has a different opinion of kindness, than me. M... maybe, I have
internalized things He told mes. But..."

Cheliyi glances askance.

Quietly, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity says, "Ah, I do not knows. Always get so uncertains.
Reality is never what it seems."

Avaris breathes a soft sigh, ceasing the absent rapping upon his thigh in order to
turn his hand palm-upwards, resting the back upon his leg. "Let me see that." While he waits, he
utters a low, displeased sound, though it does not seem directed at Cheliyi. "You underestimate Him,
I think. He does not need to actively speak to you in order to have a presence in your heart, to
murmur His poison in your mind. What is kindness, to you, Cheliyi?"

Cheliyi quietly reaches over to place her forearm within your reach, gaze growing cloudy with
memories. "I... kindness is making someone smile. Soothing their pains, making their day better.
Knowing when step ins, to make sure they do not struggle needlesslies." The bruise isn't too
terrible, a soft imprint turning yellow and green on her pale, discolored scars. "It is not being
cruel. Cruelty is not kindness, because it just makes more bitterness in the end. Spite is a mover,
but never a goodly one."

Avaris examines the marred flesh with a critical eye, turning Cheliyi's forearm
from side to side so that he can study the entirety of the bruising. In a distracted manner, he
bids, "Flex your fingers, tell me where it hurts, and in what way." He utters a low sound, which
would be a grunt in almost anyone else, but the noise is transformed into something oddly melodic
that reverberates with notes both high and deep. "Do you believe kindness should be given freely,
without restraint?"

Cheliyi does so almost robotically, wincing slightly as her joints pop once more. "Ah, hurts
right... there," she gestures at the very fingertips of the bruise, and lets out a soft sigh. "It
should. It can be very hard, thoughs. Some peoples, you do not want to be kind to, and some peoples,
you will feel like they don't deserves it. Am not as goodly as a person as my Dad, so it is the
seconds one that I get stuck on."

Avaris's pointed chin dips in a curt nod, voice brisk as he says, "Do not move."
This said, he places the massive, long span of his hand across Cheliyi's forearm, the flexile chitin
warm. The sanguine streaks of his antennae lower, flowing down and up at the points as he
concentrates, channeling the Light so that it emanates from his palm, bathing Cheliyi's bruises in a
resplendent, golden aura. Once this is done, he removes his hand and examines the results. "That
should be better. As for kindness - I wish that it could be shared without caution. I truly do. But
it is so often taken advantage of, and twisted for selfish gain. Kindness should be tempered with
Wisdom - To know when and how to be kind, when one /can/ be kind."

Cheliyi's frills droop once more, her form relaxing with a quiet sigh as you heals the bruise. It
fades easily enough, the only real remnant a set of crescent shaped indents from her nails. "Ah,
yes. Is betters. Thanks, and apologies for making you spends energies." She hums quietly at your
words, unsurety melting away in face of more comfortable conversation topics. "I suppose sos. Dad...
allows themself to be hurt, quite often. Is just how they are. Is not something me or Mister Dad
like very muchly, because we care about thems. Do out best to protect them from its, but they are
also their own person. Make their own choices."

Avaris brushes the apology away with a small wave of his hand, shaking his head.
"You may thank me by not harming yourself needlessly in the future. Acquire an object to squeeze
instead of your arm, if that is what helps you with managing your stress." Dipping his chin in a
nod, he observes, "That is all that we can do, yes. For their sake, and your own, I hope that they
grow wise enough to learn not to allow themselves to be harmed in their pursuit of kindness - Though
without growing so calloused that they lose their gentle heart."

Lifting his fingers to brush absently through the dense ruff that covers much of
his upper torso, Avaris asks, "Would you like my opinion on the matter of my Lady, and your troubles
with the Shadowed One?"

You think to yourself: "Dad and Mister Dad. Hm. Gurashi and Tridemon, respectively, I should think."

Cheliyi smiles faintly and nods. "Ah, will do that. And... do hope that too. Or at least, that I can
help stop the hurts, first." She brings her arm back to her lap, falling silent as she contemplated
your offer. An unexplained smile suddenly quirks onto her features, but it seems to cause her to
relax further. "Ah... please do. Is nice to hear voices on the matters, besides my owns and my
siblings."

The lower wing of Avaris's right set curves about his side like a gently radiant
wall of sculpted light, which the large kephera begins to groom in a thoughtful, distracted manner,
drawing the tips of his fingers through the effulgent plumage industriously. "You are uncertain.
That much is plain. Yet you are drawn to Her, even while you are pulled away from Her, or any
Divine, because of your prior experiences. The opposite forces are slowly prising you apart from
within, and that is unhealthy." Moving adroitly, the manner in which his fingers dance across his
arcing wing is oddly reminiscent of someone playing a harp, though no music issues forth from the
act, save the soft whisper of shifting feathers. "You need clarity. You will not find it mired in
shadows. Learn of my Lady. Ask myself, or one of the others of Her Order, whatever questions you
wish. Seek out the opinions of those outside the Glomdoring on the Shadowed One, and how he
functions, how pervasive His touch can be. I suggest going to those that you can trust in the
Serenwilde, or at the very least, not those who once called the Glomdoring home. He will have
altered their perception as well, most likely."

Cheliyi blinks slowly, her gaze following your hands as you preens your wing, nodding slowly to the
kephera's suggestion. She shifts in place, her tail's end flicking gently as it uncoils from around
her form. "I... see. I suppose... do have some peoples in Serenwildes I can ask, yes. Should take
the time, to come up with questions, thoughs." A flicker of unease flits across her features, though
it quickly fades like a wisp of mist in the wind. "Thank you, for offering your thoughts, yes. May
do just thats."

Cheliyi thinks to herself: Will He be amused, that I am asking other about Him? Or irritated? ... should not matter, anyways. Is for me.

The markings that form the stylised eyes which fill Avaris's wings shift as he
continues with his grooming, flowing out of the path of his fingers like liquid light, the closest
to his hands moving to curiously follow the trail it gradually takes across the wing. A few of those
that do not turn to stare at Cheliyi, unblinking in their eerie awareness, before shifting their
attention elsewhere in a calm, placid manner. "Do. Pray to my Lady, as well - She may be busy, but
She is usually quite good at responding in some fashion. Be honest with Her, with what you desire,
and your concerns. She is the wisest being I am aware of - She will not lead you astray."

You think to yourself: "If any can wash away the stain of the likes of Him, it is my Lady."

Another flicker of unease furrows the mugwump's brow. Cheliyi eventually nods, meeting the eyes that
stare at her with a placid stare in return, more curious than anything else. "I... alrights." Almost
subconsciously, her hand goes to hold one of the withered willow branches that seemingly grow among
her hair, the flora faded and brown with the faintest hint of blueish-purple. "Will be awkwards, I
am sure," she mutters, almost amused.

Cheliyi thinks to herself: a sliver of bitter amusement, a cruel, mocking internal voice, yes hello Lady Empyreals, know that One Cousin of Yours Who You probably don't likes? Tell me more about Him, many thanks! Because that is not a dumb question from a tiny mortals like me, nopes..

Avaris cocks his head towards Cheliyi at that, a note of genuine surprise in the
chorus of his voice as he asks, "Will it?" With a soft, amused breath, he shakes his head, the helm-
like ridges of his jaw glinting in the sunlight like cut marble. "Only if you make it so. My Lady is
very patient, and most understanding. She is adept at putting we anxious mortals at ease. Simply
speak plainly to Her, be respectful, and it shall be fine." Done with his cleansing, he releases his
wing so that he can extend it experimentally, flexing the immense span up so that it briefly shades
him from the sun. Apparently satisfied, he folds it once more at his back, nodding to himself. "If
you would like someone else to be present so that you feel more secure, I am sure She will not
mind."

"Well, are probably rights. Will be better if I talks about its... one on ones, I guess. And, of
course will speak respectfully. She is..." Cheliyi trails off once more, though her expression
softens. "Well, She is very good. Am sure I already said thats. Plus, anyones who can raise -Tavi-
has to be goodly." She grins, finally, frills perking with cheerful amusement. It falls slightly as
she returns to the topic at hand, adding, "Will have to do my best to explains. My memory isn't
exactlys... the best. Have forgotten important things, including hurts, before. But, will still try.
Is better than nothings."

Avaris lowers his head in a slow nod, his manner serious. "She is. I do not believe
there are any more good than She." Lifting the index finger of his upper right hand to his face, he
taps at the smooth, curving plane of his cheek, considering. "Perhaps compose it in writing
beforehand, so that you have something to prompt your memory while you speak with Her. Or give it to
Her directly."

Cheliyi nods her head at you.

Like a gentle ripple in a crystalline pool, Slakened Cheliyi, Novitiate of Purity says, "May put
down... notes. Feels embarrassing, but is better than going with a blank brains, I guess."

In a smooth harmony of buzzes, you say, "There is nothing to be embarrassed about, Cheliyi. We do
what we can to make up for our shortcomings, and a faulty memory is hardly a crime. It will make the
matter easier for Her to process, as well, I should imagine. It can be easier by far to articulate
upon the page, when one is not rushed for time, than stumbling and struggling over words."

Cheliyi smiles at you gratefully, and nods. "Mm, many thanks. Really, have lots of things to thank
for, though I am guessing it would take us a while to go through them alls," she quips, smile
shifting into a grin. "I guess... should go start writing things downs. Leave you to your
meditations, yes."

Avaris inclines his head graciously, gesturing at Cheliyi with a slight, circular
motion of his lower left hand. "You are quite welcome. I wish you well with this, Cheliyi - And
remember to acquire something to squeeze other than your arm, yes?"
