Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is introduced annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to bettering the lives of kids in our community.
Brian Houchins, a devoted elementary school instructor and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s education and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of numerous youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and main a profitable community-driven campaign to upgrade native playgrounds, ensuring protected and inclusive play areas for all kids.
The award ceremony might be held on January 15, 2024, on the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The occasion will feature speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
