‘Blocks’

Undyne stands in front of a toddler year old Kris, reading a book titled "Your Human Child And You".
Meanwhile Kris is busy with the very important and urgent task of building the wonderful world of Block Town with his blocks.
Suddenly Undyne perks up and smiles as she finally gets to the part she wanted to read.
"Finally! Some age appropriate exercises! Alright Kris! It's time for some REAL entertainment!"
She suddenly moves all the blocks out of the way with her arm, knocking all the towers down in the process.
It takes Kris's undeveloped mind a moment to register what had just happened to his precious town of Bloxumberg.
Undyne instantly regrets her choice as Kris begins crying.
Undyne quickly picks up Kris and tries calm him down with various coos and apologies, yet Kris continues to sob.
She gently puts him down and shoves all the blocks back towards him, but it's too late... St. Blockstania has fallen from the dastardly attack from the dreaded fish momster.
Undyne begins to panic when Kris's shrill cries still refuse to cease.
She considers calling Toriel for advice again, but she'd really rather not take the hit to her pride as a mother.
An idea erupts from her fish brain and she sits down kris cross applesauce infront of Kris and the blocks.
She begins stacking blocks in a hapazard manner, which thankfully seems to settle her son down a bit, so she continues to build block towers.
Eventually Kris has fully calmed down and even started joining in on Undyne in rebuilding the beautiful town of Blockton.
Undyne remarks on how adorable it is when Kris's eyes seem to light up whenever she manages to add another block to the already impressive tower
Unfortunately Undyne dreams a little too big and the tower crumbles under it's 16th block.
Undyne winces and prepares her ears for the familar shrill cries of her son, but is pleasantly surprised when met with Kris giggling.

‘Shift Covering’

Undyne is sick and refuses to rest.
"Kris you BRAT! Im FINE! I won't be able to say the same for you if you don't UNCHAIN ME RIGHT NOW!"
You're currently locking a padlock currently locking the chains keeping your sick mother from getting out of bed.
You tell Mom that she should get some rest.
"KRIS! I TOLD YOU FOR THE LAST TIME I'M F-"
She doesn't get to finish as she goes into another coughing fit.
You tell your mother she's not being very convincing.
"OH I'll show you that I can be very convincing, AFTER I BREAK OUT! OF! THESE! DAMNED! CHAINS! AND POUND YOU!"
You tell her that you got these chains from one of Sans's 'special orders' so good luck with that.
"OH YEAH? I'LL CAVE THAT LITTLE FUCKER'S SKULL IN AS WELL AFTER I'M DONE WITH YOU! WATCH ME!"
You tell your mother that she should watch her language but before you finish you see the chain lock crack.
You curse the short skeleton bastard, even when she's weak she's a pain to keep still, plan B it is.
You pull a syringe filled with a pink liquid out from your pocket and carefully attempt to prick your thrashing mother with it.
Luckily she moves in just the right way enough for you to get a clear stab as you quickly push on the plunger.
"OW! What the hell!" She exclaims as her eyes lay on you putting the needle away. "You little...! Did you just FUCKING DRUG ME?!"
You tell your mom you simply gave her some medicine. You decide not to tell her that you got them from Noelle, who enthusiastically gave you some.
"YOU SON OF A-"
She's insulting herself when she says that by the way, you tell her.
"-BITCH! YOUUUU DIID DRUGG MEee..."
Her words begin to slur as her struggling slows, it seems the tranquilizer is working.
"howww couldd yoouu drrugg yourr ownnn momm kriss"
You let out a sight of relief as your fish mom finally closes her eyes and falls into a deep day long sleep.
"Time to cover her shift." you say as you fish (lol) her police hat out of her dresser.

'Shift Covering' Part 2

You looked at yourself in the cracked standing mirror in your room.
The police uniform fit quite snug, it was tight enough to not encumber you, but also just loose enough to allow yourself to be flexible.
You're tempted to ask your mother why this was stuck in a box in her closet (Or why it was perfectly tailored to you.) but you don't think she's in a very talkative mood right now.
Even if you were sure you would be able to get an answer out of her, she's 'sleeping' right now, and it'll take nothing less than a bomb to wake her up.
Well at least that's what Noelle said (albeit through constant excited nervous stuttering) when she gave you the medicine.
Perhaps Napsta will be able to provide some insight when you go down to the station.
As you readjust your mother's police cap, you decide to check on her one more time before you head out for what would probably be the entire day, so you head into her room.
For a second as you turn the doorknob, a creeping fear implants itself into your mind of how likely a worst case scenario is, your heart rate rises as you push open the door.
Only for it to go back down after you see mom sleeping peacefully in her bed.
Chained up and snoring loud enough to wake Gerson. But, peaceful by your standards.
You smile and walk up to your mother, what you're doing is risky but you can't help yourself.
You lean down and give your mom a hug.
It's a bit awkward because of the chains and straight jacket, but it's filled with love regardless.
You make your way out of the door but once again stop before leaving.
Since you never actually told mom your plans you take out your favorite titanium grade Christmas themed pen (Noelle gave this to you for your birthday and you've been using it since. ) and decide to write a note on the back of a blank ticket.
When you finish, you take a deep breath and finally make your way out the front door and down the road to the station.
it's a beautiful day outside.
