Suspension

The suspension of a triple wheeled buggy will determine how easy you and your child/children are able to push it. A smooth ride is essential as babies can feel every bump on the road, particularly if it's in rough terrain such as grass or paths that aren't paved. Some models also have front wheels that lock to assist in maneuvering and navigating obstacles such as curbs.

Some models have tyres with air filled that are ideal for all-terrain riding, however they can be prone punctures. Make sure you have an extra set of tyres in the trunk. Others have foam or gel tyres that are designed to withstand bumps and can be less prone to punctures however, you may find them to be a bit stiff and uncomfortable for your child's back if you choose to jog.

MFM reviewer Kath tested the Urban Glide 2 through its trials with her newborn and 3 year old son, and found it coped really well on difficult terrain: "it navigated effortlessly over bumpy pavements and grass cobbles, dirt tracks and cobbles effortlessly and was easy to manoeuvre around corners and go up and down kerbs.
