- You won't be fucked by updates anymore.
- Functions as an ENB Manager.
- Your root folder will be PRISTINE clean.
- Kezyma's Original Guide
- Technically already explains everything here but I just added the ENB & Preset guides, they all follow the same basic steps.
Requeriments:
Kezyma's Root Builder
SKSE, ENB, Etc anything that goes into the Skyrim folder.
Downgrade Skyrim:
- Download and Run the downgrader tool
- Make a folder named root
- Copy SkyrimSE.exe and binkw64.dll and place them in the root folder
- Zip that folder
- Install with MO2.
- Even if the game updates after this, you'll have the Skyrim 1.5.97 and dll files in MO2, you're now inmune to updates!
SKSE
- Download SKSE 2.0.20
- Install it with MO2, MO2 will bitch about it.
- Right click the Data folder (NOT the <data> folder)
- Select create directory, name it root
- Control + Click the following files:
- skse64_1_5_97.dll
- skse64_loader.exe
- skse64_steam_loader.dll
- And drag them to the 'root' folder
- Then right click the Data folder and select 'Set as <data> directory'
- Should look like this
- Click ok and go to your MO2 executable section, select the '+' icon and click on 'Add from files..'
- Navigate to MO2\Mods and find the SKSE Folder, enter the 'root' folder and then click on the loader.
Your MO2 should look like this
ENB Binaries
- Download the ENB Binaries
- Extract them whenever and enter the 'WrapperVersion' folder
- Make a folder named 'root'
- Place the following files inside:
- d3dcompiler_46e.dll
- d3d11.dll
- Zip the 'root' folder and install with MO2
- Should look like this when installed via MO2
ENB Presets
- Simply download the preset
- Make a folder named 'root'
- Extract the preset inside the folder, then zip that folder and install with MO2, MO2 won't bich about it this time.
- Activate and deactive the presets according to taste.
Always remember to activate the mods, after these steps your MO2 should look like this
- No matter if SkyrimSE updates now, you have the old files already activated.
- Warning, booting time might take some extra seconds
Any other mod with files that need to be in Skyrim folder
- Repeat the steps just like before, make a 'root' folder while trying to install them via MO2, stuff like SSE Engine Fixes memory allocator and Parallax, etc.
