Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain stroller that is light, durable and offers great maneuverability. The compact fold using one hand makes it simple to move. It also stands on its own when folded. The cushioned seat reclines into a nearly flat position, and there's a large storage bin and canopy. The suitability for newborns is yes, with an additional carrycot.

A well-constructed suspension and air-filled tires can help you to navigate the rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging but you should wait until your baby is six or nine months old before doing this.

Ickle Bubba Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a brilliant option for parents looking for an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. It is an entire travel system that includes a lie-flat carrycot designed for infants, a multi-position forward and rear-facing pushchair seat as well as a choice of group 0+ car seats, so you can get everything in one package.

The XL Air is a really impressive car, and it's easy to see why it has received so many high marks from its customers. It's incredibly light - the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg and it's extremely simple to put together. In fact, I was able to complete the entire setup and running in less than five minutes, which is pretty amazing given that it included a strapping of the fabric for the carrycot!

The seat is spacious and comfortable for Annie, who is 12 months old. The recline lever was easy to operate. The basket has plenty of space, and I like that the handle bar comes with an area to keep your keys and phone safe.

The only downside is that the handlebar is low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. However, it's encased with a luxurious leather-like material that's soft and comfortable, and it wipes down easily, so it's still easy to push even with bags and children in your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for parents who enjoy exploring and are always on the move. Its large pneumatic wheels were designed to be used on field and forest trails, and the front wheel can be swivelled and locked for extra versatility. The stroller also comes with a 5-point safety harness with an adjustable front bar that will keep your child safe during every trip. The parking brake will keep the stroller in place as you take a break. The comfy seat is easy to recline to a comfortable lying position, and the canopy opens to reveal with netting to ensure maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm, to fit mom or dad.

If you're planning a quick jog or a long hike, the Runner is ready to accompany you on all your adventures with a comfortable, flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee smooth, safe ride. The front wheel is lockable to provide more stability on narrow streets and overcrowded sidewalks and the stroller folds easily to fit in car boots and storage spaces.

Some parents have found the Runner 2 to be a little more difficult to navigate than its predecessor and the locking system isn't as user-friendly (requiring two buttons on each side of the push bar). The handlebars are a bit higher than some competitors, and therefore may not be suitable for shorter parents. However the stroller is durable and a lot of fun, and is worth considering by families with active children.

Red Kite Push Me Pace

The Pace is a different great product from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which prides itself on making easy-to-use and simple essentials for parenting. It's the latest and most expensive product in their bargain-priced lightweight stroller collection. It's also, like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo, is car seat adaptable so that you can use it from the beginning (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace has some amazing design features, including a rose gold tint to the chassis, hood and stroller trims that really set it apart from its competition. The car seat and stroller fabrics are fashionable in grey, tan, and cream. You can also choose to add handles made of leather and a bumper bar to complement.

It's suitable from birth to a max weight of 22kg. The stroller seat can easily be converted from the carrycot to a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent or world-facing. 3 wheeler pushchair offers multiple lie back positions, comfortable padded leg rests and comes with an extended sun canopy that has concealed zip sections, viewing through flaps and a retractable sun visor section.

When folded, the Pace measures up at 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other carriers. Two buttons on each side are easy to use and click to lock it in the right position.

Bugaboo Fox 5,

Created to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller, Bugaboo's newest Fox 5 promises to do it all. Its unique chassis features shorter wheel length, making it more manoeuvrable than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two kids eight weeks old and a toddler - on rocky roads along with grassy wooded trails and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are huge in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - so they can cope with many different terrains. They also come with a handy flap that can open or closes to let more air in if you need it this is a nice feature. It's a bit bigger than some pushchairs, but it isn't heavy or bulky when you push it over bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable, and the frame and faux leather grips are easy to wipe down. It's also quieter than many pushchairs and I felt confident using it on busy city streets. It comes with accessory points that allow you to attach parasols and footmuffs along with changing bags or snack trays, and even snack tray. You can also use the hood to block rain and wind, but it's not particularly waterproof. It's a single pram, however, you can also attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child a bit of legroom. The bassinet took around 20 minutes to set-up and it took the same amount of time to transform it into a seat.

Whether you enjoy running in the morning cool air or a moonlit stroll under the stars, the UPPAbaby Ridge makes every moment a memorable one. This all-terrain jogging stroller is designed for maximum performance to keep you and your child active.

The massive foam-filled 12" and 16 "tires offer a smooth ride no matter the terrain. The durable hand brake with a performance disc allows you to stop quickly, even when running downhill.

The Ridge is at its best in every city scene from bustling farmers' markets to street musicians playing music. The large basket can accommodate everything you need and market purchases, while the massive canopy provides sun and wind protection. The canopy on the front can be unzipped to reveal two mesh peekaboos that permit you to monitor your baby.

The Ridge's reversible seat allows you to decide if your child is facing you or the world ahead and its easy foot brake system is a breeze for parents with young children. A fantastic feature is the reversible handlebar which lets you adjust it to your height and preferences. The Ridge's fold, unlike many jogging strollers is reliable and self-standing when folded.

iCandy Core

The new iCandy pushchair comes with a variety of features that will really impress parents. It comes with a multi-mode wheelbase and an LED Visibility Hub light, which is a first in the industry. It also features an integrated Ride-on Board which will save you money in the future and makes it easier for a tired toddler to join you on family outings.

The Core is available as a travel system or a single seat. It is compatible with the most popular car seats, including the ones from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It is the largest seat unit in the iCandy line, meaning you can use it for your baby's first year and beyond. As with all iCandy pushchairs it is beautifully designed and features premium knitted jersey fabrics. The adjustable handlebar for parents and child's bumper bar that can be detached are made of soft leatherette. The fold-away calf support is also extremely comfortable for children.

I was awed by the ease of fold and collapse. It only takes one hand, even with the seat unit attached. It's also easily tucked away in your boot and hallway making it ideal to travel with. The iCandy Core comes with lots of extra accessories, such as an rucksack that matches the colour of your choice and a liner/footmuff.
