โsonic has been a special interest of mine since I was 4 years old, i first got into it with sonic boom & later grew up on sonic x. it brings the most comfort to me over ANYTHING else & I have no clue what i'd do without it, I would genuinely go as far to say if I didnt have it then i'd be gone by now. i'll appreciate the series with all of my soul until I die

my top 4 favourite characters make it painfully obvious what trope I like, LMAO
- Fleetway Super Sonic

- Metal Sonic

- Scourge

- Shadow

there's an honorable mention to sally acorn, though. she was my main comfort character as a kid to the point that she was the one that helped me sleep alone after I was constantly anxious as a kid due to nightmares, even if I dont really care for her anymore
fun fact; the infamous 'slap' comic was written by karl bollers, who was a sonamy fan that planned to break up sonally in order to push sonamy into the comic, though the genesis wave happened before it did. that's why the out-of-character slap happened

I remember I used to make so many ocs, I wish I had them preserved now but I remember them enough. my main ocs were 3 princesses, one was a shy sheep, one was a mischevious bunny, one was a polite hedgehog, their kingdom got taken over & they worked with sonic because they wanted their mother back..I found sonic underground a year after I made them and was devastated LOOL
speaking of Sonic underground, did you know the voice actor for knuckles in it is brian drummand, who voices eggman in sonic prime?
merch-wise I have sonic, tails, shadow, and knuckles plushies along with tons of sonic themed rubber ducks. once I went to a car boot sale & got these two sonic figures for 10$ & 5$; THEY WERE WORTH 100 & 50?? I still have those in my room, can't believe I got those. the amount of sonic LEGO I have is actually insane god save me
I only have one IDW comic but to be fair theyre too pricy to get monthly, I just read it & all the other comics in a.....free-er place (which is linked here by the way, just saying..)
I have sonic mania, sonic frontiers, sonic adventure 2, Sonic origins & Sonic generations (+ shadow generations, I have both.) not a lot but I grew up mostly on the shows, my first game was mania since my dad already had it downloaded. I can remember sitting in our holiday home, warm breeze outside while everyone played around in the pool, & I was sitting on the sofa in our living room trying to get all the chaos emeralds. I have like, 100 lives on that save file somehow.?? I dont even remember HOW..
I purposely waited until shadow generations was half price..it pissed me off so much that they expected me to rebuy the same game, especially since the new dialogue is kind of..eh?? my friends didn't hear the end of it until I finally got the game on sale. still annoys me, though..

the amount of things that sonic has taught me is one of the main reasons it's so special to me. i wouldn't be the same person without sonic; it's the reason i know to be myself, the reason i have so much interest in anarchy as a concept, the reason my ideals & beliefs are what they are. it sounds stupid, but sonic is more then just a game franchise to me, it's a piece of me that helped me grow & learn to be the way i am, let alone a comfort. every time i feel down, i can put anything sonic related on and feel genuine joy, it manages to cheer me up every time when no other thing or person can. thank god for this stupid little hedgehog & his friends.
