Alison Miller

Alison Miller is a known to believe in and promote far-right, antisemitic, pseudoscientific conspiracies, and abusive therapeutic practices. Miller is no longer a licensed professional, as she resigned in response to a complaint submitted to her licensing board. Miller's books are absolutely symptomatic of her conspiracy theorist beliefs, and are also not reliable resources. It's incredibly dangerous to continue promoting Miller or her work.

In Miller's book, "Becoming Yourself: Overcoming Mind Control and Ritual Abuse," she cites, platforms, and promotes the writing of two conspiracy theorists, Wendy Hoffmann and Svali.

Wendy Hoffmann is a former patient of Miller's, and is known to spread Illuminati conspiracy theories. Hoffmann credits Miller for helping her "recover" memories of the Illuminati, which Hoffmann believes to be a real organization that secretly controlling the world. Hoffmann writes the follwoing excerpt for Valerie Sinason's book "Shattered But Unbroken: Voices of Triumph and Testimony,"

"With Alison's help and support, I discovered within myself sexual slaves, murderers, cult reporters, mules, terrorised children, Illuminati heads, resident queens, psychics, cult therapists, soldiers, porno actors, spies, thieves, memorisers, to name just some of those in tightly sealed communities and ghettoes that resided within my squeezed brain"

Additionally, Hoffmann has authored books of her own, which Miller promoted to ISSTD psychologists, as seen in this leaked thread from the ISSTD's forum. Hoffman's own works continue to promote conspiracy theories, as seen in this quote from her book "White Witch in a Black Robe: A True Story of Criminal Mind Control,"

"Their prophets discerned that I had the bloodline and psychic aptitude. I thereby became more than a figurehead queen. I became a part-time member of the Illuminati’s round table or inner circle that engages with the unseen and supernatural. The leaders had me assume other roles mostly to cover my main position as witch. They never wanted me to remember this role and the people I met and worked with in this capacity. For example, they made me into a mule who traveled the world on assignments, most likely to cover the world trips I made to the leaders of the secret world"

As Hoffman's therapist, Miller actively promoted her belief in conspiracy theories and an untrue reality. This, in and of itself, is evidence of malpractice. Miller has continued to support Hoffmann in spreading conspiracy theories, and even platforms her misinformation to therapists, and her readers.

Svali is another conspiracy theorist in Miller's book. In "Becoming Yourself: Overcoming Mind Control and Ritual Abuse," Miller not only cites Svali, but also refers to her as a "former Illuminati programmer" and promotes Svali's writings. This is a clear endorsement by Miller of Illuminati conspiracy theories.

Svali is a known believer in far-right, antisemitic, antivax conspiracies. In this blog post, Svali can be seen promoting Qanon conspiracy theories. She refers to Dr. Anthony Fauci as a "'representative of evil'" in the modern times, says the COVID-19 pandemic was planned, refers to the vaccine as "toxic drugs," promotes a conspiracy theory COVID-denier movie, and references "the new world order."

It is at this point where I must stop to give a history lesson. "New World Order" is the name for a genre of conspiracy theories that claims that some secret, influential shadow organization is working towards world domination. The organization varies based on the conspiracy theory, but groups often implicated are Satanists, Freemasons, Illuminati, and Jews. In fact, the NWO conspiracy theory has noteable ties to antisemitism, much of which can be linked to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a piece of antisemitic propaganda written by the Nazis to spread the false idea there was a conspiracy of Jewish people trying to take over the world. The NWO conspiracy theory also fuels far-right wing hate groups like Qanon, and resulted in shootings like Pizzagate. NWO conspiracy theories are not only untrue, but are also dangerous, and they cannot be seperated from their antisemitic ties. They are inherently antisemitic.

Svali continues to promote antisemitic and pseudoscientific conspiracy theories in her works. For example, in her book "Breaking the Chain," Svali lists the "Rothschilds" as "Illuminati banking leaders." This is a known antisemitic belief and dogwhistle. She also claims that Walt Disney was part of the Illuminati.

Svali endorses debunked theories about DID such as core theory, which is the idea that a person with DID starts off with one core personality, which the other alters split off of. Svali endorses core theory, as seen in this quote from her book "Breaking the Chain,"

"Core splits are intentional traumatic splits created from the core personality."

This debunked theory goes against the current science on DID about structural dissociation. There is no excuse for her spread of misinformation. The Haunted Self was already a decade old when her book was published. Svali promotes other ridiculous pseudoscientific beliefs, such as her claim that splits can happen in the womb, before the baby is even born. Quote:

"Intentional programming of an infant in the Illuminati often begins before birth. Prenatal splitting is well known in the cult, as the fetus is very capable of fragmenting in the womb due to trauma. This is usually done between the seventh and ninth month of pregnancy."

If it is not enough for you that Miller has knowingly and repeatedly included the work of conspiracy theorists in her book and their false claims, and outright endorsed a belief in the Illuminati, which I've already explained is an antisemitic conspiracy theory, and also was negligent in her work as a therapist by encouraging Wendy Hoffmann to hold conspiracy theorist belifs, then it should surely be enough for you to see that Miller resigned in response to a complaint about her serious misconduct.

The College of Psychologists of British Columbia investigated Miller after a complaint was filed against her, for spreading conspiracy theories, abusing her clients, and breaching her registration contract by practicing psychology when whe is registered as a non-practicing psychologist.

After an investigation, the Committee was "concerned" that "many of the Respondent’s statements are unusual and do not reflect mainstream beliefs about abuse, trauma, and mental health" and Miller did not "clearly state the limitation" that the information she described about cults "may not reflect the actual activity groups" and did not take "caution about the sources of her information." The Committee decided Miller would be required to take actions and adress the College's concerns about misinformation. Instead, Miller quit rather than face further investigation, leading the case to be closed. Miller is no longer registered with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia and has forfeited her ability to use the title of psychologist. The College's decision can be read here.
