anyone can use these if willing! this is just a comprehensive guide for us and others.

𓉸 academic alter
this is a headmate who focuses solely on academic practices and helps the system
focus on the subject at hand. can be a specific subject or school as a whole.

𓉸 alter overseer
this is a headmate who takes care of and checks up on another headmates in the
system. they act as a caretaker for headmates who aren't just littles.

𓉸 analyst
this is a headmate who acts like a therapist or a consoler for the system as a whole
when professional help isn't avaliable or the system needs assistance urgently.

𓉸 anger holder
this is a headmate who takes holds onto angry thoughts or feelings towards past
abusers or people currently hurting the system. they are prone to outbursts.

𓉸 apparently normal part
this is a headmate who are the rational, present-oriented, and grounded parts of the
system that handle daily life. they don't hold any specific role besides existing.

𓉸 avenger
this is a headmate who's job is to take revenge or protect the system from
harmful people. they also exist to deal with contact from previous relationships.

𓉸 bpd holder
this is a headmate who is holding the symptoms of borderline personality disorder
such as possessive tendencies, emotional breakdowns, and splitting.

𓉸 caretaker
this is a headmate who takes care of littles and middles in the system, usually fronting
with littles and middles whenever they are fronting.

𓉸 co-host
this is a headmate who fronts almost as frequently as the host and takes care of a lot of
system matters. they're like the right-hand-man to the hosts of the system and often help.

𓉸 depression holder
this is a headmate who is holding the symptoms of major depressive disorder. they hold
symptoms such as suicidal thoughts/ideation, ideas of self harm, and stupors.

𓉸 emotional part
this is a headmate who are the parts of the personality that represent the dissociation or
that contain the traumatic materials such as traumatic memories, moments and behaviors.

𓉸 emotional protector
this is a headmate who protects the body and host(s) from emotional harm such as
manipulation or harm to one's psyche.

𓉸 energizer
this is a headmate who is responsible for getting the body up and going doing physical
exercise and chores around the house. common for systems with depressive disorders.

𓉸 fixation formed
this is a headmate who is formed purely from another headmate's fixation on a source or
concept. this usually comes from media the host(s) are heavily fixated on at the time.

𓉸 fixation holder
this is a headmate who is holding the symptoms of autism, specifically the hyperfixation side
of things. this can be considered a subset of autism holder, but we find that term silly to use.

𓉸 floater
this is a headmate who floats between roles in the system as they figure out what they can do,
or it is a headmate who will float between roles depending on what the system needs of them.

𓉸 frequent fronter
this is a headmate who consistently fronts, either in frequent intervals or for absurd periods of
time. this term is usually outdated in pk for us since it is hard to keep track of.

𓉸 front overseer
this is a headmate who takes care of and checks up on the system as a whole. this headmate may
also be a frequent fronter, as they linger in co-front to observe the front room and the fronter.

𓉸 gatekeeper
this is a headmate who keeps certain other headmates out of front and is major control of
the front room. they also can take someone out of front or put someone into front.

𓉸 general protector
this is a headmate who protects the body and host(s) from any kind of harm such as physical,
emotional, or verbal abuse. they cover a wide base but their goal is to keep the system safe.

𓉸 historian
this is a headmate who's job it is to record information about the system, whether that be factual
lore about the system, lore about the headspace, or basic information about members.

𓉸 host
this is a headmate who fronts the most and is like the "face" of the system. some hosts can be called
"cores" or "bases", but we prefer the term host. hosts can change but not as frequently as co-hosts.

𓉸 instigater
this is a headmate who is seen as a firecracker to most of the system, keen on inciting conflict or
jumping into other conflicts. they seek to argue and fight but are also not generally malicious in nature.

𓉸 interal self helper
this is a headmate who stays mostly in headspace to help with issues there, such as trouble with
headmates, managing headspace rooms, or just taking care of those more sensitive memories.

𓉸 jack of all trades
this is a headmate who is similar to a floater, but instead of floating between roles, this headmate is just
sort of here for everything. they can take on multiple roles at a time, none at all, or switch between two.

𓉸 manager
this is a headmate who is in the system to set everything up and guide any new alters around headspace.
they help with setting up pk, setting up simplyplural, and generally accommodating them in headspace.

𓉸 memory holder
this is a headmate who holds core memories that the system has made, such as childhood memories or
memories from important moments. most memory holders don't hold traumatic memories, but they can.

𓉸 mood booster
this is a headmate who is also referred to as a "jester". this headmate's job is to make the system or the
host(s) happy or lift their mood. they are responsible for fighting off episodes of depression or mania.

𓉸 nihilist
this is a headmate who tends to look at situations and conflicts with a very literal and nihilistic (or otherwise
negative) perception. they serve as the logic > emotions dealer when it comes to conflict and other matters.

𓉸 nonhuman
this is a headmate who is not human, by any metric. this includes animals, half-animals, fictional creatures,
mythical creatures, robots, and objects. we do not have any object alters, but they also are nonhuman.

𓉸 obsession holder
this is a headmate who is holding the obsession tendencies the system may experience. this is usually a result
of borderline personality disorder, and is a subset of most bpd holders, but they can be their own thing.

𓉸 pain holder
this is a headmate who is holding any symptoms of chronic pain, and often only fronts during flare-ups
or if physical harm is caused to the body due to an accident. physical protectors handle purposeful harm.

𓉸 panic preventer
this is a headmate who is responsible for preventing panic attacks or episodes of panic-induced psychosis.
they often times do not front for any reason other than to prevent or stop panic attacks.

𓉸 perpetrator
this is a headmate who causes harm to the system or host(s). they do not have good intentions and only
mean to cause harm. they are often introjects of abusers or harmful characters to the system or host(s).

𓉸 persecutor
this is a headmate who causes harm outside of the system, but not with malicious intent. they are similar to
perpetrators, but are more often than not, misguided protectors. they do not mean to hurt the system.

𓉸 physical protector
this is a headmate who protects the body and host(s) from any kind of physical harm such as physical
abuse, altercations, or dangerous situations.

𓉸 relapse preventer
this is a headmate who is responsible for preventing relapses of any kind. this can be with self-harm,
eating disorders, substance abuse, or anything else can be relapsed on. rarely fronts unless for this.

𓉸 sexual alter
this is a headmate who is formed from sexual trauma and hypersexuality, usually holds intrusive
sexual thoughts and hypersexual tendencies. a lot of sexual alters are also sexual protectors.

𓉸 sexual protector
this is a headmate who protects the body and host(s) from any kind of sexual harm such as sexual
assault or being sexually taken advantage of. this can be a variety of ways and for many reasons.

𓉸 soother
this is a headmate who sooths other headmates in moments of distress. similar to panic preventers
but soothers can front for many reasons. they are also good at soothing those outside of system.

𓉸 sexual preventer
this is a headmate who is responsible for preventing stressful situations and the system or host(s)
from purposefully stressing or overworking themselves. they rarely front if not for this purpose.

𓉸 symptom holder
this is a headmate who is holding symptoms of related illnesses the body suffers from. for us, it
mainly consists of depression, c-ptsd, bpd, ocd, autism, adhd, physical disability, and psychosis.

𓉸 trauma holder
this is a headmate who is holding traumatic memories or traumatic trauma responses. they are
often very jumpy or the reasons why the system was formed in the first place.

𓉸 verbal protector
this is a headmate who protects the body and host(s) from any kind of verbal harm such as verbal
abuse, verbal disputes, or disagreements.
