Genderfluid Butchfemmeotter futch bisexual gaybian
Lemme break this down so you understand:
-
Genderfluid
Genderfluidity to me means that my gender identity isn't static. It changes over time-- I may feel like a man one day, non-binary, woman, or something weirdly in between. As you can see from this description, it is very fluid.
-
Butch-Femme-Otter
Butch: A feminine-of-center person (typically a lesbian or sapphic person) who presents themselves in a masculine manner.
Femme: A feminine-of-center person (typically a lesbian or sapphic person) who presents themselves in a feminine manner.
Otter: A queer slang term for a (usually) slim, hairy person (often used in gay communities)
To combine these together, I embody both butch and femme roles (I could either go for a more futch style, strictly butch, or strictly femme style) with some of the characteristics/traits of an otter (laid-backness, hairiness).
- Futch
Futch: A feminine-of-center person (typically a lesbian or sapphic person) who presents themselves with a mix of femme and butch traits.
For me, futch is another way of saying I blend both masculine and feminine expressions of gender.
- Bisexual
Bisexual means I'm attracted to more than one gender. For me, this includes people of my own gender, other genders, and sometimes people who don't fit into traditional gender categories at all.
- Gaybian
Gaybian: a term that combines 'gay' and 'lesbian.'
Me being genderfluid affects my attraction to men and women. I'm only attracted to men as a man and I'm only attracted to women as a woman.
Putting this all together, this long identity means that my gender expression changes over time, and I express it in a variety of ways. My attraction is also quite fluid, open to several genders, and sometimes feels 'gay' or 'lesbian' depending on my gender and the people I'm attracted to. It's a long label, but it perfectly explains my complexity as a human being.
