hitari had always been different—something in her eyes, something in the way she spoke. she was quiet, observant, as if watching the world from a distance. her girlfriend, tentten, loved her for it. ten had always been the warm, outgoing one, and hitaris distance felt like a balance, a calming presence that grounded her.

but over time, hitaris quietness became something darker, something tentten couldn’t quite put her finger on. it started with the small things: hitari becoming withdrawn, no longer joining tentten for meals, no longer engaging in conversations. she tried to be patient, tried to help her, but the more she reached out, the more hitari retreated.

it wasn’t until they moved into a new apartment, an old building in a forgotten part of town, that tentten began to see how deep the change had gone. at night, hitari would sit in the dark, her face lit only by the dim glow of a candle. she’d stare at the walls for hours, lost in thought. when tentten asked her what was going on, hitari would smile faintly, but it was empty. there was nothing behind it.

one evening, after a particularly long silence, tentten found her girlfriend standing in the kitchen, her back turned. there was something unsettling about the way she stood. tentten approached quietly, but before she could say anything, hitari spoke, her voice barely a whisper.

“i’m starving,” she said, her tone flat, as if the words held no meaning.

tentten stepped back, feeling the hairs on the back of her neck rise. “hitari, what’s going on? you haven’t eaten in days. you need to eat something.”

hitari turned to face her, and tentten froze. there was something in her eyes—something unnatural. a wildness. she had never seen her like this before.

“i'm not hungry for food,” hitari whispered, stepping closer. “i’m hungry for you.”

tenttens heart skipped a beat. she laughed nervously, but it felt wrong, hollow. “what do you mean, hitari? you’re scaring me.”

but hitari didn’t answer. she just kept moving closer, her eyes never leaving tenttens. there was a strange, predatory look in them now, like something that had been lying dormant was finally waking up.

hitaris fingers brushed tenttens cheek, cold and clammy, and tenttens stomach churned. the touch was too deliberate, too calculated. before she could react, hitaris hand shot out and gripped her wrist with an unnatural strength. tentten gasped, trying to pull away, but hitaris grip tightened, her nails digging into her skin.

“you’re so beautiful, tentten.” hitari murmured, her voice now a twisted, hushed tone. “so delicate. i need to keep you with me. forever.”

tens breath hitched in her throat. “hitari, please... i don’t know what’s happening, but this isn’t you. let me go.”

but hitari only laughed, the sound dark and unsettling. it wasn’t a laugh of joy, but something more monstrous. the girl she had once known, the one who held her hand and whispered sweet words, was gone. in her place was something terrifying, something that could only be described as madness.

in one swift movement, hitari pulled tentten toward the counter, pushing her down onto the cold, hard surface. the world seemed to slow as tennie struggled, but it was no use. she couldn’t break free. hitari was too strong, too consumed by whatever had taken over her.

“you’ve always been mine,” hitari hissed, her face inches from tenttens. “i just need to make it real.”

and then, without any warning, hitari sank her teeth into her girlfriends neck.

tentten screamed, the pain shooting through her like fire. hitaris teeth tore through skin and muscle, and tentten could feel her blood pumping out, warm and thick, filling hitaris mouth. she couldn’t comprehend what was happening. this wasn’t her hitari. this wasn’t the girl she loved.

but it didn’t matter. nothing mattered anymore. hitaris hunger was insatiable, her body trembling as she devoured what was once her most precious thing. tenttens screams grew quieter, her vision blurry, her limbs growing weak as she bled out, the cold creeping in.

when it was finally over, when ten was nothing more than a limp, lifeless body on the counter, hitari pulled back, her lips red with blood. she stared at tenttens remains, panting heavily, as though the act had exhausted her. there was a strange calmness in her eyes now, but it wasn’t peace. it was the calmness of someone who had crossed a line and knew it was too late to turn back.

hitari wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, her eyes flickering to the half-eaten body. she was still hungry, but the hunger had shifted, had changed. it wasn’t just about food anymore. it was about possession, about owning tentten in a way she never could have before, in a way noone could have before.

hitari took a step back and gazed at the remnants of her love, her heart now a void. she had consumed tentten, and in doing so, she had consumed herself. the madness that had taken root in her mind was no longer a temporary thing—it was her now, and she couldn’t escape it.
