the devil's on my shoulder,
but i like the way he sings.

the pure saturation of the sky as it cradles the setting sun blinds me,
yet i cannot bring myself to look away.
instead of blocking the light, my hand lays by my side, unmoving
i let the colors of the scene invade me, overwhelming and enveloping me
the brightness of the scene was of a divine quality,
so much so that if i had closed my eyes, it would still shone through the veil of my eyelids
witnessing the sun's final dance of the day, i stand unmoving so as to not disturb it;
the night would inevitably fall, darkness replacing these blinding colors...so why interrupt it now, in its final moments?
