Short track Choi Min-jeong is posing after winning the women's 500m short track race at the 105th Winter Sports Games held at the Songam Sports Town Ice Rink in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do on the 2nd.

Short track speed queen Choi Min-jeong (Seongnam City Hall) won her second gold medal at the 105th National Winter Sports Games.

Choi Min-jeong won the women's 500m short track track final held at Songam Sports Town Ice Rink in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do on the 2nd with a record of 44.202 seconds, beating Park Ji-won (Jeonbuk Provincial Office, 44.454 seconds) and Lee Yu-bin (Goyang City Hall, 44.791 seconds).

Choi Min-jung showed off her rust-free skills by winning a gold medal in the 500m, following the women's 1,500m held the previous day.

After the game, Choi Min-jung said through her agency All That Sports, "I feel good because I finished the individual event with good results. This tournament was a process of preparing for the upcoming tournament, and I will show a good performance in the upcoming national team selection match."

Choi Min-jung is aiming for her third gold medal in the women's 3,000m relay held at the same venue on the 3rd. She will not compete in the women's 1,000m held on the same day.

In the men's 500m general division, Kim Tae-seong (Seoul City Hall) won with 41.133 seconds, beating Seo Ira (Hwaseong City Hall, 41.147 seconds) and Kim Dae-hwan (Seoul City Hall, 41.754 seconds).

In the women's college division 500m, Ria Kim (Korea National Sport University, formerly Yejin Kim) won the gold medal with a score of 44.370 seconds, beating national team member Seo Hwi-min (Korea University, 44.582 seconds).

Lia Kim, the gold medalist in the short track women's relay at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, was disciplined for violating athlete registration regulations in 2019 and declared retirement, but returned in November last year.
