How are you doing anon? Hope that you're doing great. I know it may be a tough week ahead for you but I know you'll make it. Believe in her and in yourself. I'll be making some chicken wings as a going away celebration for the Hades stream later today, though I can't decide whether to make buffalo or barbecue sauce for them. Do you have anything planned for next week?
And to the anon who tried the potato wedges recipe: How did they turn out? Did you like them?
Hello Shibanon :D
Since you are this threads de facto /ck/fag I would like to ask you if have any advice for someone that wants to pick up cooking as a hobby but is a complete n00b?
While I'm no expert, I do believe I have some helpful advice. For me at least, cooking is all about confidence. Once you get used to it, no recipe really seems too hard. It can feel nerve-wracking at first, but its important to keep on trying. Stick with the little things first, like frying an egg, and do them until you feel comfortable with your own skill. Then expand, try different cooking methods (frying can be especially scary at first) or things out of your comfort zone. Do them until you feel confident in yourself. Practice/repetition is everything. One example I like to bring up sometimes is cooking instant ramen when you're a little kid. It's super scary at first, but as you grow up and make it over and over it becomes routine and eventually you can do it with minimal thought and effort. Its the same idea when you're making other food. If you want to cook as a hobby, start with the food you know you like. Its better when you're first starting out to make something you'll enjoy as a reward for your effort. I hope this is helpful and I wish you good luck in with your cooking!
Thanks shibanon

They were good! The first time I tried them, there was still some flour caked on, but they were okay. But the second time I cut them into steak fries instead of wedges and they came out much better.
Good to hear!
