Boarding Policy: What Makes Southwest Unique
Southwest Airlines does not assign seats. Instead, passengers board in groups (A, B, C) and pick any open seat upon entering the aircraft. Boarding group and position are determined based on when you check in, so it’s wise to check in exactly 24 hours in advance for a better seat.
Terminal B’s spacious design complements this process. There’s plenty of seating around the boarding gates, as well as clear digital signage that shows when each boarding group is called.
