Malware info:
Are the files virus free?
Short answer: yes ✅
- Everything we upload is both tested and scanned before hand.
- Everything we upload is only taken from trusted sites and reputable scene groups such as m0nkrus, R2R, Team V.R, monter, Inv3rt, and many popular reuploaders (excluding those on fmhy.net/unsafe).
But my antivirus blocked the file?
Most crcks use a form of injection that spoofs the auth (knows if you own it); however, this method causes antivirus to flag. Due to the fact it's similar to how normal malware works. However, flags like PUA:Win32 or Trojan:Script/Wacatac. B!m are flags that are generic; however, you can test the crcks yourself on a VM.
How to dictate if the file you downloaded was malware
- The zip/rar's name should relate to what you were meaning to download (ex: After Effects). The zip/rar's name should NOT be "x64-x32."
- The download should not have been an automatic download; you should've had to manually click download on MediaFire/PixelDrain.
- If the thing you are downloading has a tutorial, you can check the tutorial and see if the files look the same; if not, you may have downloaded a popup.
- If it's not locked or the password isn't Editing, it's most likely malware.
At the end of the day there's always a risk with piracy if you really care about your safety and don't trust randos on the internet. You should either A) test it yourself on a virtual machine (VM) or B) purchase it.
