With Magic Mike's Last Dance's release right around the corner, the movie's marketing campaign is in full swing, much of which has focused on a lascivious lap dance that Tatum's character gives Hayek's.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Hayek discusses making Magic Mike's Last Dance with Tatum, including receiving a very rigorous lap dance from him.

The Magic Mike's Last Dance star recalls in great detail how the acrobatic lap dance was filmed, which required her to be held upside by Tatum - and almost ended in disaster. See what she shares below:

What To Expect From Magic Mike's Last Dance
While the first two Magic Mike movies were set in Tampa, Florida, the third film will find Tatum's titular character traveling across the pond to London for his last dance. There, he meets a wealthy socialite, played by Hayek, who makes Mike an offer he can't refuse. Not much else is known about her character or the plot of Magic Mike's Last Dance, though Tatum has described the threequel as a "fish-out-of-water" and a "reverse-role Pretty Woman story."

While the third film will focus on the relationship between Mike Lane and Hayek's character, Magic Mike's Last Dance will focus less on the characters and more on the dancing, as Tatum has promised. The marketing campaign has mostly focused on two specific dance scenes, including the aforementioned lap dance, which was revealed by a first-look image and teased further by the Magic Mike's Last Dance trailer. The movie will also end with an epic 30-minute dance sequence to wrap up the trilogy, as teased by another image of Tatum and Hayek.

Other than Tatum reprising his role as Mike Lane, he will be joined by a cast of newcomers that includes Ayub Khan Din, Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed, Vicki Pepperdine, Gavin Spokes, Caitlin Gerard, and Christopher Bencomo, many of whom will also be showing off their dance moves. Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first Magic Mike but not the sequel, is also back for the final tease. The wait for Magic Mike's Last Dance is almost over, as the movie releases in theaters Valentine's Day weekend, on February 10.

Magic Mike is coming soon with new moves in a bigger setting! As we are weeks away from the release date of Magic Mike’s Last Dance more information about the feature is coming out with behind-the-scenes looks, posters, and trailers. The feature will see a broke Mike, who is bartending in Florida when he meets a socialite who offers him an opportunity to put on a show in London. With the premise set for the final dance and passion-infused movie in the franchise, actors Channing Tatum and Salma Hayek talk about what to expect from the upcoming threequel in a new featurette.

“This is the third Magic Mike movie. It’s gonna blow people’s minds,” says Hayek in the clip which finally reveals her character’s name as Maxandra Mendoza. The one-minute-long clip intercuts various behind-the-scenes moments of Hayek and Tatum hard at work practicing dance routines with the dance crew. Tatum elaborates, “This is a place where we can redesign what Magic Mike actually is. This is a fish out of water story.”

In the following snippets, we see Mike responding to various socio-economic differences between his life in Miami and in London which creates some hilarious moments. The setting of the movie has changed as Hayek notes, “we never got out of a strip club, this time we have a theater.” The synopsis of the movie notes that Hayek’s character has ulterior motives which put Mike’s career at the line, “It’s a whole different thing, Mike is trying to evolve the genre, that’s beyond special,” Tatum tells.

Tatum and Hayek’s comments are in line with franchise director Steven Soderbergh, who previously revealed that the inspiration for the movie came from very early schematic workshops of the live show, which he felt was intriguing. But things changed when he saw the finished Broadway version in London “I was so captivated by it that I got on the phone, and said, 'I think we should abandon the Broadway idea, and I would like to make a movie that is a fictionalized version of how Mike comes up with the idea for the live show.'”

Alongside Tatum as Mike and Hayek as socialite Maxandra, Magic Mike's Last Dance also casts Ayub Khan Din, Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed, Vicki Pepperdine, Gavin Spokes, Caitlin Gerard, Christopher Bencomo, and Nas Ganev.

Miami caught two shooting stars Wednesday night at the Regal South Beach. Channing Tatum and Salma Hayek were in town for the premiere of their new movie “Magic Mike’s Last Dance.” Deco was there to catch up.

Dancers from the “Magic Mike Live” experience lit up the black carpet Wednesday night at the world premiere of “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” … and just like that, the tone was set.

The gorgeous Salma Hayek and hunky Channing Tatum were there, too.

Although the actor had on more clothes than the dancers, it didn’t take away from the sexy vibe of the night.

Salma Hayek: “Miami is sexy, the character is from Miami, Channing is from Florida, and it’s full of Latinos. Why not? That’s my favorite part about it. I feel at home!”

Channing Tatum (as Mike Lane): “What did you want before Miami?”

Salma Hayek (as Maxandra Mendoza): “I just wanted to escape my life.”

The final installment finds Mike bartending in Miami — before a wealthy socialite leads him to London, where the “Magic Mike” stage show is born.

Salma Hayek (as Maxandra Mendoza): “Come with me to London. Let’s go.”

Salma is new to the cast, and Channing said he was happy to have her on board.

Channing Tatum: “She made the whole movie. Without Salma, we would just be a bunch of privileged white dudes making a movie. She literally came in and made it actually mean something.”

Salma Hayek (as Maxandra Mendoza): “You came along and gave me this unexpected magical moment that made me remember who I really was.”

Things heat up between the two pretty quickly, but Salma says she was initially nervous when it came to doing their sexy dance number.

Salma Hayek: “I think I was more terrified in the rehearsals. At the beginning, I was nervous, but then I felt more confidence because we have a lot of trust in each other.”

Salma Hayek (as Maxandra Mendoza): “Without further ado, I give you the visionary artist, Magic Mike.”

Channing Tatum (as Mike Lane): “Sup.”

The movie’s got dancing, hot men and lots of passion.

Salma Hayek (as Maxandra Mendoza): “You’re not shutting me down, not this time!”

Salma says this is one movie audiences won’t want to miss.

Salma Hayek: “They’re gonna have fun, and they’re gonna feel a lot of joy, they’re gonna feel like dancing, they’re gonna feel like kissing somebody! Can’t miss it.”

Salma Hayek (as Maxandra Mendoza): “I want every woman that walks into this theater to feel that a woman can have whatever she wants, whenever she wants.”

Fans have long waited for Magic Mike’s Last Dance, which is set to hit screens eight years after its predecessors. Loosely based on Channing Tatum’s personal experiences, the franchise is well-loved for its comedy, romance, melodrama, and of course dance and music. The original movie shot its leading man to fame, and now he’s expected to bow out of the franchise following latest edition. In a new interview with Total Film franchise director Steven Soderbergh revealed the inspiration behind the new feature.

“A third Magic Mike movie was kind of unexpected,” the director said. He further explained that the team was a couple of years into working on a more traditional Broadway version of the show while Tatum and screenwriter Reid Carolin and the choreographic team were also developing the live show. He added, “I’d seen some very early schematic workshops of the live show, and thought it was intriguing. But I really wasn’t prepared, 18 months later, for what I saw in London, which was the finished version. And I was so captivated by it that I got on the phone, and said, 'I think we should abandon the Broadway idea, and I would like to make a movie that is a fictionalized version of how Mike comes up with the idea for the live show.'”

The new movie follows a broke Mike, who is bartending in Florida after a business deal goes south. It is when he meets Salma Hayek’s character who offers him an opportunity to put on a show in London. “So, it’s another in a series of what I would call ‘process films’, where, like an Ocean’s movie, it’s an exploded view of somebody trying to solve a problem.” The director reveals that it’s a “really fun mash-up of things that I like – one of them being: showing people solving problems, the other being: people dancing!” Speaking about dancing, Soderbergh previously revealed that the movie will close with a 30-minute-long dance sequence.

Alongside Tatum as Mike, the movie's cast includes Hayek, Ayub Khan Din, Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed, Vicki Pepperdine, Gavin Spokes, Caitlin Gerard, Christopher Bencomo, and Nas Ganev. It was previously announced that developments were ongoing for additional films in the franchise which centered around other characters unrelated to Mike. By the looks of the promotional material, the feature looks equal part seductive and sophisticated.
