1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double
The City Tour 2 Double is the smallest double stroller in the Baby Jogger range. It was designed specifically for travel, and fits through standard doorways easily with its ultra-narrow shape. It's also one the lightest double buggies on the market that weighs just 14lbs when folded. It's perfect for trips with a newborn and toddler as you won’t exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It can also be folded up into the size of an incredibly small travel bag which means you can put it in the back seat of your car.
The one-handed, Z-shape folding is easy to fold, it's incredibly compact when you've mastered it. It can take a couple of seconds to unfold. However lightweight double buggy found the auto lock to be a little confusing. As the handlebar wasn't locked into place when you press it, it hit her legs when she was using it. She also felt the handlebar was a little on the short side and especially with the large changing bag hanging off it.
This double stroller is not as light as other travel buggies. It comes with a wide range of features, and is among the most versatile double strollers on the market. It's compatible with two carrycots (available separately), features various recline positions, and a UV 50+ canopy. You can put the bassinet to one or both seats to make it an ideal travel system.
The four tires made of rubber are great for pavements as well as urban terrain. However, they were not made for off-roading. They struggled with long grass and gravel and there was not enough clearance between the wheel bracket and the wheel, so mud stuck easily. Our tester loved this buggy, and it was able to climb pretty muddy hills.

They were also awed by the fact that both seats recline independently, which means they can be adjusted to suit your individual preferences - perfect for napping.
They also loved that the hoods could be moved back and forward making them easy to adjust in the sun or to provide wind protection. They didn't provide the same coverage as Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It might be worth carrying an extra rain cover in case.
Overall, our testers were impressed with the Nipper double's capacity to let them take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all kinds of adventures. From seeing wildlife in the forest to rushing to a park for a playdate, they loved it. They were also amazed by how cozy and spacious the two seats are, with plenty of room for growing toddlers to play in. Our testers did note that the absence of parent-facing seating and inability to use car seats in the buggy was a disadvantage, and they would like to have more storage space for shopping and other gear.
