/vtwbg/ Lore Proposal: /who/ (Viti edition)

/who/'s Vitubia lore is brought forward and kept the same, sans any territorial changes made during that era. (medium-sized nation with relatively small coastline, hilly but not mountainous inland landscape, active gun culture, parliamentary republic)
Changes will be made with the in-universe explanation being the parliament-approved destruction of the major cities in line with the Nameless One's cessation of divinity to prevent them from being used by raiders against the other civilized peoples of the region. (rumors abound of heavier-than-air aerial crafts used in this to some extent)
The following lore changes are proposed for post-devastation /who/, enumerated for easier referral in the thread:

  1. Territorial changes: Inland border lands (and any cities or towns within) diplomatically ceded to neighboring nations. Major metropolitan centers not ceded to other nations reduced to ruins that reek of burnt tar. Villages and towns avoided destruction.
  2. System of government: Loose confederation of city-states. No longer refers to itself as the Owl Republic.
  3. Technology level: Analogous to colonial America.
  4. Military size and structure: No formal land army, each town has its own volunteer militia. Naval strength largely unchanged.
  5. Religion: Rites are still performed in the Nameless One's honor. One of the more prominent ceremonies (and one of the things that keeps the nation united) is the use of cytube (framed as oral retellings of Her exploits), which became a prominent practice after the Nameless One's departure. Hoomans are suspected of worshiping an angel in addition to or in place of the Nameless One.
  6. Differences between /vt/ /who/ and holotower /who/: Nation has overall more population and territorial control in holotower dimension, and coastal cities there opted out of planned destruction. Pink angel is more prominent figure in the tower.
  7. Diplomatic allies:
7a) /haha/ (no explanation needed, though it is worth mentioning that it's not placed on the map due to not having a rep)
7b) /rrat/ (this and /awat/ were listed as allies in /who/'s Vitubia lore, intending to keep it as so unless there's thread consensus to change this. No rep or placement)
7c) /awat/ (notably, cytube-analogous technology brought over from there. Has a rep and a spot on the map)
7d) /uuu/ (hesitant on this one. Is on the map but has no active rep, there was a bit of in-thread friction over territorial ambitions in the Vitubia days. If that Napling who was in the tower thread a few days ago has any input on this in particular, I would be appreciative)
