The guild was not what he was expecting. The image on the leaflet was of a woman surrounded by butterfies and several other people in front of a big building. Reality was a child with a couple of butterlfys on her head and an annoyed woman fixing some tents in the middle of nowhere. The leaflet was a bit old and ruined, and the innkeeper did make a strange face when he asked, maybe he should have paid more attention. He admittedly had no idea what the difference between a dark guild and a light guild was, or what a guild did exactly, he only knew that they apparently were an appropiate place for his current skills. After the initial shock and polite greeting of the displeased woman Lorus was at a loss, more than usual even, but the situation was slowly setting in. The strange woman that triggered his memory and feeling of familiarity was sleeping peacefully, realatively speaking, in a tent used as a blanket so asking her was not an option, the guildmaster was a kid and he had a strange feeling about her so maybe she was not the best source of information. That all leaves the archeologist, she briefly introduced herself as such and considering the scarce information he managed to gather up to now Lorus was starting to think he counted as a relic of sorts.

So how do I do this again? "Hello fellow guildhuman what brings you here on this fine day?"

The pale woman stopped her attempt at repairing another broken tent and looked at the displaced young man with an unreadable expression, at least that is what it looked like to him maybe he was just bad at this. "I am repairing my tent. Did you require my assistance with something?"

Dammit I must have done something wrong. Maybe she is not human? I should have realized "Oh no, I was just wondering if there was a way for me to... assist you? I am not used to the current... arrangement I think it was called?"

"It would be stranger if you were." "I would appreciate a hand with repairs, we are also missing materials." Immediately after that sentence a floating mass of silvery liquid slowly shapes itself in the form of a hand and draws closer. "Not that kind of hand. I appreciate the gesture but I would prefer you to gather some materials, you could start with wood, I need some stronger pieces than these sticks."

The hand floats back to the confused mage "I see, I will come back with materials Lady of the Past"

"Mitra is fine. Good luck, we all need that right now"

Wood should not be hard to get, right? We are in the woods, it's all around us Lorus wanders in the wilds, floating hand still there, searching for materials he is not sure how to recognize. She said that it would be better to find better wood than sticks. What makes good wood? Maybe it just needs to be bigger? As he is walking he finds himself staring at a particular tree, this deep in the forest there are many and that one seems solid enough. The hand swirls and grows, it surrounds the hand of the mage and extends into a blade, with a simple gesture the blade shoots froward and the tree is cut cleanly. It slowly falls with a deafening noise as it breaks it's own branches and those of the surrounding trees, the fauna runs away stratled, the made is unphased. Is this enough? I don't know how much wood you need to make tents, I don't even know how many tents we need. I should have asked but I did not want to bother her too much she seemed buisy. The Anomaly decided to stop at one tree, it would relatively difficult to carry already, so he had to divide it. More blades are made and shot, the tree is divided in smaller logs, and the branches are cut clean too.

After a time, the mage returnd to the small camp with his hands full of materials, his giant floating mercury hands. He decided to gather some interesting rocks on the way back, they were shiny and he liked shiny things, maybe there was metal in them. Lorus approached the center of the camp where Mitra was tending to the fire, the strange woman apparently woke up because she was not in the tent, but she did not seem to ba around. "Greeting hu- Mitra, I come bearing gifts"

The archeologist at first calmly turns, then even her deadpan expression shows slight surprise. "That does appear to be a significant amount of materials. You can put them somewhere near the tent, I will try to process them later."

The hands float over to the half finished tent and drop the material before disappearing. Droplets are scattered over the wood and stone. "Is there anything else I can... help with?"

"Not at the moment, you could clean up your metal from the wood, it's not good for construction or healt in general. The... nameless woman is out gathering food I hope you like monster meat you can rest for now."

After quickly gathering all the residue od mercury from the materials Lorus sits down on one of the logs and just stares at the camp. Should I really be wasting time like this? I am not tired, I don't think I am particularly hungry either. Maybe I will update my notes, better not to risk losing more memories. As the mage starts writing down his experiences a particularly big snake slithers up to him on the log. Oh look, a snake. The snake is staring at him. It seems friendly, it must be one of the snakes that woman had with her, it's probably scouting. As the snake keeps staring Lorus calmly extends a hand and pets it, surprisingly the snake does not react violently. I was not expecting this work, it must be a very special snake "You are a good one apparently, nice to meet you, I hope we get along." *I am talking to animals now. Maybe it's normal now? Somehow I don't think it is." He retracts his hand after a short pat, he does not want to push his luck. As he focuses back on his notes a scream pierces the clam night air.

"I GOT DINNER"

The nameless woman appears from the same woods he was in until a few minutes ago with a vaguely boar like creature on her shoulders, clearly dead and still bleeding. The guild slowly gathers around the fire Mitra was tending to, the logs are used as benches, some are used as small tables. The members get to know eachother a bit better, as much as they can considering two of them have no memories and one would rather not dig up the past. The night flows peacefully, and by the time they are done eating somehow the have enugh tents for most of them, Lorus just says he does not need one so that the others can sleep better.

As Lorus creates a cocoon of mercury to sleep in as he is used to he thinks on the events of the day. Maybe it will not be so bad
