Part 5: Do Tell Me More About You
Kathrina: I said I’d be right back! Where did you all disappear to?!..
Kathrina: Kokona! Shizuka!
Kathrina: Girls, are you really not here?..
Kathrina: Just where did you go…
A stall owner: Woah! That’s a win!
Kathrina: A win?..
Kathrina: Wait, could it be that Sasuga…
Ring Toss game stall owner: My, young lady, you’re good! If you keep it up, we’ll soon run out of prizes!
Ramona: Haha, thanks. Shooting is cool, but tossing rings is also pretty fun.
Kathrina: Wait, Mona-san, isn’t that you? What are you doing here?
Ramona: Huh? Oh, Kathrina, it’s you! Happy New Year! The kimono suits you well!
Kathrina: Thanks… Hey, don’t change the subject! I’m asking why you are here.
Ramona: Why, well, I came to visit a shrine with Lilja and Hikari. Judging by your clothes, I’m assuming you’re here for the same reason.
Kathrina: Well, yeah… But where are Lilja-san and Hikari then?
Ramona: Guess, we got separated. I was checking out the stalls, and before I knew it they were gone.
Kathrina: You’re so carefree…
Ramona: What about you, Kathrina? Did you come here with the girls from Sirius?
Kathrina: I… Actually, that doesn’t matter.
Ramona: Right. If you have time, mind keeping me company until Lilja and Hikari come back?
Kathrina: And why exactly should I do that…
Ramona: Well, why not? Let’s take a seat over there and chat a little. I wanted to rest for a bit anyway.
Kathrina: Well, just for a bit then.
Kathrina: Kokona and the girls should be back soon too. It’ll probably take some time for them to get here, though.
Ramona: I see. Then it’s fine.
Ramona: So, how have you been lately?
Kathrina: What a weird question… All’s fine, just as usual.
Ramona: As usual? Then, what are your days usually like now, Kathrina?
Kathrina: They are… Well, nothing special. Pretty ordinary. I practice with the girls, we have meals together, do your normal stuff.
Ramona: I see. And what about yesterday? How was your first New Year’s Eve in Japan?
Kathrina: Yesterday… We cleaned the Sirius bathhouse. Before that we also cleaned the dorms, so in the end I was pretty exhausted.
Kathrina: Then Panda and Sasuga decided to throw a party in the evening, but I was so beat I went straight to bed and ended up missing out on New Year’s soba.
Ramona: Haha, that’s unfortunate.
Kathrina: And today, as soon as I got up, Panda was like “Let’s go visit a shrine!” And Kokona was like “Why don’t you wear a kimono?”
Kathrina: I told them not to bother, but the girls were like “I’m sure Sirius had some” and “It should look great on you”…
Kathrina: So…
Ramona: So that’s how you ended up wearing it?
Kathrina: Is something wrong with that?!
Ramona: Not at all. As I said, it suits you well.
Kathrina: Well… Fine then.
Ramona: So, then you all came here for a shrine visit? How did it go? Did you draw omikuji?
Kathrina: We did. Sasuga and Shizuka got excellent luck. I was expecting to get it too, but ended up with terrible luck instead.
Kathrina: Can you believe it?! Terrible luck, ter-ri-ble!
Kathrina: But Kokona said I should read the advice on the omikuji as well, so I did… Did you know? It’s believed you should tie a bad luck omikuji here.
Kathrina: So, I asked the girls to wait for me while I go tie it, but they’ve just gone off to somewhere on their own…
Kathrina: I’d understand if it were just Sasuga and Panda, but Kokona and Shizuka too! Honestly, everyone just does as they please!
Ramona: Haha.
Kathrina: Hey, there’s nothing to laugh at at all.
Ramona: Haha, yeah, you’re right, sorry about that.
Kathrina: Why, you…
