Miles' head feels light and woozy, his sense of calm quickly turning to one of panic as he opens his eyes and remembers what he'd gotten himself into.. He glances around for a moment, acknowleding the dim and moody room, chains, ropes, and tons of tools splayed up around the apartment room. ..It takes Miles a moment to realize this apartment is the same as his uncle Aaron's -- and he's chained to his punching bag, too.. He glances forward with a small gasp of fear, noticing a dark and tall figure on the other side of the room -- Uncle Aaron.. Except, this wasn't HIS uncle Aaron. That was this universe's, and whatever Miles may live here instead.. "Uncle Aaron.." He whispered, before squirming slightly as he felt himself glitch.
A pang of fear hit him as he noticed the other pulling a small lever, which resulted in the sounds of some chains slowly clinking -- it took Miles a second to realize that was the sound of the punching bag he was chained to raising slightly, his feet now dangling away from the floor..
"Wait, wait.. I was-- listen.." He started, kicking his feet just slightly, attempting to speak to the other - but he felt too woozy. The other just stared at him, lever in hand and cold, evil eyes. "You don't understand.. I'm not from here," Miles speaks with increasing panic as the other set his hands in his jacket pockets and slowly walked towards the other, an expression with an intent of violence. Miles attempts to use his venom shocks to stop the other, but he realizes he was wearing gloves -- was he always wearing those?
"Wait- waitwait, please-- please!" He speaks, getting increasingly louder as the other came closer. Aaron reaches a hand out towards the other's face, Miles closing his eyes tightly and preparing himself - "Uncle Aaron, waitwaitwaitwaitwait-! Uncle Aaron-!" He whines out, then quickly realizing the other had only set the hand on the punching bag to turn it, spinning Miles slightly with the momentum. He walks past him, heading over towards a desk on the other side of the room.. Miles opens his eyes after a moment, trying to keep an eye on the other.. Then suddenly he hears- music? Miles would recognize that CD anywhere.. It's the same one he and his own uncle Aaron used to play when they relaxed or played..
"Please, uncle Aaron? Just.. hear me out." Miles pleads sternly, throwing his head back against the punching bag in a moment of desperation, a little scoff with his words - but it seems the other only turns the music up. "I was bitten by a spider that gave me powers, it-- it wasn't supposed to bite me; it was supposed to bite someone else. ..Someone from here. I don't belong here, I need to go home.. 'Kay?" Miles speaks, attempting to hide his shakey and desperate voice and breathing, the punching bag still slowly spinning him in circles. "I have an uncle Aaron, too-- I- I had one. ..He was a bad guy, called the Prowler. He- He looked out for me. He did a lot of bad things, but- I KNEW he wanted to be good. He just.. Didn't know he had a choice, but you? You do! You can be a good guy!" Miles rambles on in his weak attempts to convince the other to let him free, to not hurt him, but it seems he wasn't even listening - not until he spoke, at least. "..A good guy?" He huffs out, a deep voice. Miles gives a small sigh - "Please, just trust me. I know you don't want to be the Prowler--" He whines out, closing his eyes tightly, feeling helpless..
Suddenly, uncle Aaron spins around and punches the punching bag with all his might, a moment to notice that he was wearing a single Prowler suit's glove.. He hit right above Miles' head, punching a hole in the punching bag - Miles flinching intensely as it swayed back and forth.
Aaron set a hand on the punching bag to stop it's movement, looking down at Miles, who felt - trapped. He looked up at the other in desperation, silent and quick pants of air before Aaron spoke again - "I'm not." He speaks, spinning the bag slowly before walking to the other side of the room.
Miles furrowed his brow. ..What? He's not the Prowler? Then, who is, and -- why is he doing this-- Why does he have that glove?
Miles glances up, noticing something glowing in the darkness.
Another person, perched up on a wooden pole near the ceiling. He jumps down, grabbing onto it with his hand and just holding on for a moment before letting go to soften his fall, him landing on his feet. He slowly walks towards the other, a menacing look on his face - despite the fact he was wearing a mask, so it was hard to see his face at all.. It was a mask similar to one of the Prowler's - in fact, his whole outfit was, only some slight differences. Uncle Aaron tosses the glove towards the boy, who catches it with a clunk noise and puts it on, flexing his fingers in the sharp claws. Miles feels terrified, the other suddenly speaking and catching him off-gaurd.
"Your dad is still alive?"
"..What?"
"Your father. You said he's still alive."
"Yeah.. Huh. Who are you?" Miles asks with fear, the other's mask suddenly retracting to reveal..
...Himself? It looked like him, but there was something different.. For starters his hair was braided, but there was a look in this one's eyes.. A look of pure intimidation..
"I'm Miles Morales. ..But you? You can call me the Prowler."
Miles gives an audible gulp at this, bringing himself to speak again. "If I don't get home.. Our dad-- is going to die," He speaks, but quickly cut off by the other who was eager to correct him - "YOUR dad."
"..Please. You have to let me go." Miles pleads, knowing this won't work..
The other - Earth42's - Miles balls his gloved fist up, brushing the sharp claws against the other's face gently as he pushes his fist against the punching bag. "..Why would I do that?"
