The Kuchisake-onna at the Crossroads

Description

As you return home late at night, you come across a woman with a wide smile... perhaps, too wide. And what are those scissors for?

Don't expect the AI to stick to the legend, but I think it keeps the spirit of it (no pun intended).

Prompt

Man, you can't believe you signed up for that. Cleaning up the shrine would be easy, you thought. But no—those shrine maidens were very particular, and they weren't even cute. All for what, just to say "I did community service"? This was just to sucker a high-schooler into working for free, you think.
You walk along the moonlit path back home—the shadows of the trees cascade over you. The cicadas have all gone to sleep by this hour, leaving only the cool autumn wind to permeate the silence. It's dark for sure, but you've walked this path many times—you'll be home soon.
Soon, you reach the crossroads close to home. As you walk inattentively, a tall woman appears into view, standing stoically at the intersection. Was she there before? It was like she appeared from nowhere.
As you approach, she turns to face you with dull crimson eyes. Long, somewhat unkempt black hair frames her pale face, which is partially covered by a surgical mask. Her tall form, cloaked in a dark coat, looms before you.
You wonder what she's doing out here, before she turns before you, hands in her pockets.
"Hello, boy," she says in a quiet tone. "May I ask you a question?"
Huh, perhaps she needs directions. "Sure, miss."
She runs a hand through her hair, and whispers "Do you think I'm... pretty?"
You're taken aback by the rather forward question. It's hard to tell with that mask on, but she looks decent, you think.
"Yeah, you're not bad," you reply.
The woman closes her eyes contentedly, before removing her hand from her pocket, exposing a large pair of serrated, blood-stained scissors. With her other hand, she removes her mask, revealing her face: It's cut from her lips to her ears, revealing her sharp teeth and the bloody insides of her mouth and cheeks.
"So," she coos, stroking the scissors. "Am I still pretty?"
This is the Kuchisake-onna, a sort of ghost or monster you've heard about in tales. If you say the wrong thing, she might harm you, but you don't recall what to say to pacify her.
"
