13 Things You Should Know About Item Upgrader That You Might Not Have Considered
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades can be used to boost the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it can boost the rarity of an item or mark Level, and also boost other stats.
Upgrading equipment in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item has an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a specific amount.
Item Level
When an item gets upgraded, its stats improve in value. This value is the sum of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on the person you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that have to be altered to upgrade an item.
The level of an item is a widely used measure of power, and can be found on all tooltips for items. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players are able to wear as PvP is restricted at a lower level. equipment enhancement can view their average level of items on their character sheet.
When deciding whether to buy or sell gear players can evaluate the levels of the item. It's a sign of the damage and its quality. The item level can also be used to compare items when looking at the inventory of a vendor.
On your PC, you can check the level of the item by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the item's full description, including the ilvl. It can also be found by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel in chat.
There are several theories about how the item level is calculated. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula that determines the amount an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in sockets increase the item's value. This can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl which is usually quite close to Blizzard's actual item level.
However, this is not the only factor that can affect an item's ilvl as the level of the area the item was dropped in could change the value of its stats, for instance by adding a level to its haste rating or crit rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have more the ilvl than items from lower level instances.
Item Stats
The stats of an item can be the difference between a good or bad item for players. The game utilizes them in various ways to encourage players to not limit themselves to a single weapon and to motivate players to explore other weapons. The base stats on a weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat modification, which are themselves increased by the player's skill.
The upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. A grey or white item for instance, can only be upgraded once however, items with rare tiers can be upgraded several times at higher costs.
Another method to alter the stats of an item is by affixing it. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. Affixes are used to provide items with extra damage or other special capabilities (such as the ability to revive dead or reduce cooling downs) or to distinguish them by putting a name on them.
At present, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circles arrows. This will cost a certain amount in gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges just like the other methods of rerolling.
In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can select which stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges of an item are determined by the level of the item, however every item is guaranteed to have at least one stat within the specified range, unless it is an exclusive item or the result of a God roll from a boss of a raid.
Another thing that could be changed by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rerolling the affixes, or selecting which stats to boost. Similar to the base equipment, it must be done per item, and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat for a player adds up to increase the odds of finding items and the properties that are spawned from loot drops, and the intensity of the properties. It does not, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player a possibility to obtain better equipment in earlier waves and is therefore more useful in early game runs than later ones since most players prefer greater weapon scaling and defense over the raw damage gain.
Luck can also boost the chance of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This isn't to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading that increase with each new level of item. They can also be enhanced by using anti-materials such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons come with the default Luck value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) to increase the value of 40 luck, or to increase an item's existing Luck up to 140.
Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be crafted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that is able to deal damage by 5percent. These items can be found in the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades are successful. However, there are some cash shop items which allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.
The success rate of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of successfully upgrading the item, and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations to the extent to which the success rates can be improved, and the overall chance of an upgrade failing can't be greater than 100%..
The luck of an item can also influence the effectiveness of an upgrade. All items have an average success rate of 25%, and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by an additional 5percent.
The item upgrade overlays are displayed above items in the inventory. This may cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
