Casual Sena bond story episode 3

Momotalk

Sena: Sensei, this is Himuro Sena from Gehenna's department of Emergency Medicine.
Sena: Though it feels like I've repeated this several times already...
S: You're on break!
Sena: ...
Sena: Correct.
S: So what is it today? Patrolling? Medicine maintenance?
Sena: Today's motive is different.
Sena: It's an exceptional circumstance.
Sena: I would appreciate your cooperation
S: What... for exactly?
Sena: A trip to the beach.
S: !!!
S: Gotcha. Leave it to me!

Bus stop

S: Let's go to the beach!
Sena: You're certainly taking it well.
Sena: I'm relieved.
S: So why the beach?/It's not exactly the season for it, so it might get cold.
Sena: My main interest would be catching sights of drowned corpses...
Sena: Excuse me, I meant I was excited to see patients in need of help.
Sena: And if such a situation occurred, I'd be there to help.
S: Oh, uh, yep.
Sena: Gehenna sees no shortage of gunfights and explosions.
Sena: Death by grenades, white phosphorus, mines, howitzers, IEDs, RDXs... there are indeed many varieties of deaths, but drowning is one we rarely ever see.
Sena: Hot springs are common due to the Hot Spring Development Club, but it is rare for anyone to drown in them.
Sena: And, to be honest... I wished to catch a glimpse of the sea.
Sena: Of course, I am not the only Gehenna student who wishes to go to the beach...
Sena: But such an occassion is even more unlikely for me due to the work that the department of emergency medicine requires.
S: ...!/Then let's hurry up!
Sena: ...yes.
Sena: You're quite energetic compared to usual, Sensei.

Beach

Sena: So this... is the beach.
S: How is it?
Sena: I'm not sure how to describe it myself.
Sena: This is a first time for me.
Sena: If I had to describe it...
Sena: It's quite spacious.
Sena: The view of the waves moving seems so far it's almost infinite.
Sena: It's the first time I've seen such a clear view of the horizon.
Sena: In other words, Sensei.
Sena: The drowned... no, are there no people in need of rescue here?
S: Like I said... it's not the season for it./People don't really go here this time of year.
Sena: It's true that it may be difficult to swim with the current temperature...
Sena: So I suppose there won't be any patients around?
Sena: ...Understood.
Sena: I suppose we can consider ourselves lucky. There's no corpse- emergency patients I meant, which means this place is safe.
Sena: But there are still problems to contend to.
Sena: For starters, what are we supposed to do in such a deserted area?
S: That's something you can leave to me!
Sena: You seem quite assured.
Sena: Very well, in that case...
Sena: I'll follow your lead, sensei.
Sena: This is a seaside cafe.
Sena: Perhaps it's just me, but it seems to be more expensive compared to normal cafes.
Sena: I see, the atmosphere and location itself counts as a product.
Sena: I'm not fully sure about that myself, but I'll trust what you say.
Sena: It's my first time seeing the ocean after all.
Sena: This is... takoyaki and coffee? It's my first time seeing such a combination.
Sena: Considering that the coffee can wash away the Takoyaki's strong flavour, perhaps it may not be such a bad idea.
Sena: I'll order what you recommended.
Sena: The takoyaki's a bit cold, and the coffee's a bit too hot.
Sena: It's a bit underwhelming for the price.
S: ...I'm sorry about that.
Sena: ...
Sena: Actually, I'm starting to see why the location and atmosphere are so important.

Forest

Sena: This is unexpected. It seems there was a forest near the coastline.
Sena: I see... it's called a windbreak?
Sena: A forest made to protect against storms, waves and sand.
Sena: You can hear the birds chirping in the distance, the crashing of the waves and the seagulls in the distance.
Sena: The wind is humid and salty, but it's reduced by the forest.
Sena: It's quite a fresh experience.
Sena: You did say you enjoyed cycling around the coast...
S: Huff... huff...
Sena: Are you alright? Should we slow down a bit?
S: No... not yet!
Sena: ...I understand. In that case, I won't say anything more.
Sena: But even if you hyperventilate due to a lack of oxygen or overexertion, don' worry.
Sena: Should an emergency arise, I shall assist in any way I can.
Sena: Even artificial respiration will not be a problem.
Sena: Before I even noticed it, it's already evening.
S: So how was your first time here?
Sena: Every sight was a fresh sensation.
Sena: It's been a while since I lost track of time like this.
Sena: Thank you, Sensei.
Sena: It was a truly unforgettable day.
Sena: To express one's gratitude, a straightforward manner is often the best method after all.

L2D

Sena: As I thought, the water's a little cold. This could potentially lead to hypothermia.
Sena: Depending on the person, it may even cause a loss of consciousness.
Sena: Ah, perhaps... this is intruding upon the [mood]?
S: To hear that from you is a fresh sight to see.
Sena: ...I'm a little surprised myself.
Sena: But since it's a day abound with so many fresh experiences and sensations,
Sena: Just this once, perhaps saying things out of character is rather appropriate for the occasion.
Sena: ...The water really is cold.
Sena: But... it's not unpleasant. Not at all.
Sena: ...
Sena: Sensei, I believe my common sense is in a bit of a flux.
Sena: To be honest, I don't quite understand it myself, but...
Sena: But surely,
Sena: This may be a rather unclear statement, but...
Sena: I would be glad if you could consider the [Himuro Sena] before you as but an incomplete existence.
Sena: I don't have any particular hatred nor love of the work required in the department of emergency medicine...
Sena: But it is rather demanding at times.
Sena: Of course, there are personal feelings of curiosity and self-satisfaction here and there.
Sena: This is purely my own opinion, but I believe that humans are ultimately selfish creatures,
Sena: They are born with an emptiness they strive endlessly to fill.
S: And you slowly fill it up over time?
Sena: Well, maybe.
Sena: But... whenever I'm with you, that void closes, even if just a little bit.
Sena: For example, though the water is freezing, my heart couldn't be any warmer...

(I remained at the beach with Sena until night.)
