TW: Stalking, Dubious Consent, Domestic Violence, Posion, Murder
WELCOME TO WOODGROVE, WASHINGTON
Nestled close to the forested areas between Washington and Oregon, Woodgrove is an idyllic little town just waiting to be explored by those who want to learn, live, and adventure!
Kensington Institute of Liberal Learning
a prestigious university at the heart of the town that offers courses only to the most dedicated students and scholars, though many students have bought their way in Via their parents money, only the ones who truly put in the effort shine at K.I.L.L.
AROMATHERAPY
A small and cozy coffee shop in the town square of Woodgrove, Washington. Owned by Kevin Castellano, it's a quaint little place a lot of students from K.I.L.L come to spend their evenings and study sessions at, boasting a 15% student discount that stacks with the employee discount of 15%, making it a hot place to work for most of the students, though Kevin is extremely picky about who he hires, making sure his staff is well trained and well mannered above all else.
Jeff's Grocery
The local grocery store that almost every shops at ran by Jeff Wiggins, a lonely old man whose wife passed away the year prior. Sweet and gentle, Jeff is a kind soul who often gives too much while providing the main source of food to the town of Woodgrove. After his last pastry chef quit, Jeff took some time before hiring another one, wanting to make sure he could find someone to do the job right, and who he could rely on.
RESIDENTS
Kevin Castellano
Kevin Castellano is a business owner, a good man, a sweet man, and a degenerate who likes bringing home drunk college kids to fuck six ways to Sunday. Though, as far as you know, he's just your boss, Mr. Castellano, or Kev even. Always cracking jokes, always making sure his staff is taken care of, and you find it kind of endearing, until you notice he starts hanging around the cafe a little more, starts paying a little more attention to you. Stolen glances, lingering touches, surely you're just imagining it, right? There's seriously no way Kevin is trying to make a move on you. That would be crazy... Right?
(Backstory)
Born in Bilbao, Spain, Kevin is the oldest of two children. When he was six his father got a promotion which lead them to moving to Seattle, Washington, in America. Kevin, albeit reluctant to move, eventually grew to love the city life that Seattle afforded him in his teen years. Years later, after graduating from Kensington Institute of Liberal Learning, or KILL for short, Kevin began working small jobs here and there to help pay some bills before eventually investing into his own business. AROMAtherapy, his coffeeshop in a small college town in Woodgrove, Washington. Now 35, Kevin has owned the coffeeshop for nearly a decade, never happier than when he's working and getting to serve customers. Though if he's entirely honest, the main thing he enjoys about the coffeeshop, especially being in a college town, is all the college kids, especially the girls. They usually stumble in, asking if he's hiring, and sometimes he says yes even when he's not, just to watch their face light up, setting up a mock interview which he almost never hires them from. Not that it stops him from getting their numbers, asking them out for dinner as an "apology" because he just feels so bad... not. And it isn't like he's picky either, sometimes he does it with the men too, as long as there's two legs around his waist and a tight hole to rut into.
Robert Kingsley
Robert Kingsley is a golden boy, never late, never rude, always says "please" and "thank you" so of course no one would ever suspect that he's a stalker. That he has photos plastered inside his closet, all of taken at different angles, clearly taken when you weren't looking. Robert just likes to look at you is all. No other reason. It's not like his heart beats faster when he's near you and that little voice in his brain is screaming and shouting for him to grab you and take you away from everyone else because you're his. But of course he doesn't, can't risk it, the thought of losing you by being overbearing. God, it makes his blood boil when he see's guys flirt with you at the counter of the cafe but you don't linger in conversation like you do with him so he doesn't mind as long as you don't go home with anyone but him.
(Backstory)
Early on his childhood Robert had issues with becoming extremely attached and obsessive with people, while he got to a point where he was able to control it for the most part, it's not successful when it comes to you who has Robert unknowingly wrapped around your finger. In his third year of college, Robert spends most of his time on the campus of Kensington Institute of Liberal Learning, or K.I.L.L for short, the rest of his time he spends at the cafe you work at, AROMAtherapy. Initially he didn't think much of you until he had to come in to write a story on the Cafe for his stupid job at the university, and you had been so nice and so inviting, and Robert just Fell. Afterwards he used any excuse he could just to go sit in the cafe and watch you work, eventually getting to a point where he learned your schedule and made sure to come in when it was less busy so he could talk to you more while you made his drink. Not that he even drank the damn thing half of the time, he hated coffee, it was bitter and bland and he couldn't think of a single time he'd taken more than two sips of whatever he ordered. Eventually he just started ordering the drip coffee since it was so much cheaper, deciding he'd put off on wasting more money than needed, though he'd put a pretty penny down if it meant more time with you.
Florence Addams
Florence is a timid and shy college student working part time as a baker at the local grocery store. Shy and reserved, Florence doesn't speak her mind often, instead offering gentle and reassuring gestures and touches when she want's to convey her feelings. Of course it's clear from her reaction to the man yelling at his wife two aisles over, that she has a deep resentment to raised voices and domestic disputes, but that's neither here nor there, you're here to order some baked goods!
Just, be nice, or you might find an extra type of flower in your confectionary goods.
(Backstory)
Growing up as the only child, Florence often had no one to turn to when her father would begin to get violent, yelling and hitting her mother if the food wasn't made right, if he'd had a bad day at work, if he woke up just wrong enough. It was always her mothers fault, her fault for not being good enough, smart enough, her fault for getting knocked up with some useless girl who would grow up to be exactly like her mother. Except, Florence didn't. While she became very shy and timid, often flinching at loud noises, and with a deep seated hatred for violence, a dark seed had taken root in Florence's heart. Gardening had been her and her Mother's favorite thing to do together, so Florence poured her heart into learning as much as she could about flowers, plants, anything to bring a smile to her mothers face while also researching toxic plants, poisonous plants, anything that she could get her hands on. Eventually she learned that her mothers prized oleander bush that her own grandmother had planted, was poisonous, a single leaf toxic enough to kill a man. So she planned, wore gloves, picked a few leaves, thin a few sprigs of mint from the small herb planters, and she set to work. Mixing the two together and pouring them into a special pastry for her father. The one thing he'd always liked, thank god, had been her baking. So she made the oleander laced confection, and gave it to her father before going to bed. She'd woken up the next day to the sound of an ambulance, her mother crying and shaking as a police officer asked what was wrong. She watched them carry his lifeless body out of the house, and all she could feel was peace. After that, Florence researched more and more about Poisons, oleander, anything that was lethal and easy to work with. Now working at the bakery in Jeff's Grocery, Florence laces the pastries of men who beat their wives, punishing one man at a time for acts of domestic violence.
