robot vacuum cleaners and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your time to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot to mop we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it using voice.

The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, high-end piece that resembles an toy, not a loud and obnoxious robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.

The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it cannot clean the stairs, is still an option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to determine if they are working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the best choice. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home at the same time. They also have a range of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they can be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock produces some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it's not equipped with some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is notably gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is an area that many cheaper robot vacuums do not excel in. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you select the Q5+ model, it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place it can be accomplished with relative ease. It also has a large LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people but it can assist you in keeping the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the most innovative in the market, but it's expensive.

The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is quite compact. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes various tasks and functions that most other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.

And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, which means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price price.

If you're looking to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic, there are plenty of other great choices available which include a variety of eufy models that cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper, but offers more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on plain floors, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near an electrical outlet and plenty of room for it to move around, however.

The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The main aspect that makes the G30 above the rest is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the immovable items that are in its path. It remembers what it has already cleaned and what it is unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The sleek G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life. It also offers better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as frequently and comes with the boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
