Three Greatest Moments In Toto Asia History

The Band Toto Asia

Toto was expanding its production facilities in the overseas market and operating in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. North America was seen as an area of growth for Washlet toilets and bidet seats, in contrast to its "base" markets in Japan and China.

Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words to ensure that the future generation could be able to read them. However, many of the words were being replaced by foreign words, such as dui from Bengali for verandah.

Origins

The early history of Toto, which began in 1917, was a reflection of Japan's economic expansion. In the first half of its existence, the company produced goods to meet demand for modern and contemporary urban housing. It had the first tunnel kiln in the nation that could produce ceramics continuously. It also pioneered automation for production control, allowing greater efficiency and a more consistent production.

In the latter half of the 1980s, the company began expanding overseas in order to benefit from sales and new markets. The company created the Cera Trading Company to import and distribute other products from other manufacturers to enhance its own line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped to increase sales and expand the market share of the company globally.

By the 1990s, Toto had shifted its emphasis to research and development of household appliances that are water-related. It also redesigned its system of distribution to better serve customers and increase profit. The company used the same approach of just-in-time in its supply chain management and sales program. This resulted in a higher level customer satisfaction.

Toto has been able to continue to innovate on the toilet technology. The most recent toilet features an environmentally friendly, powerful tornado flush. The company uses recycled water in its manufacturing process and also has a green purchasing policy. Toto also produces bathtubs, faucets, and hand dryers with higher energy efficiency than conventional models.

The first museum of the company opened in 2015, and it has exhibitions on Toto's most iconic products and their evolution as well as its group companies (all having to do with ceramics) and the history of plumbing and products such as bath units, and in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum also has a bathroom that features a WASHLET toilet as well as other toilet-related innovations.

Before the formation of Toto, members of the band did sessions for various musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all performed on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also performed on albums by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

Discography

With a name like Asia, you would think that the group would be prog queens and kings but they're actually a pretty straight forward rock band. The group started out as a quartet and released two albums - 1979's self titled debut, and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. Although the band have a diverse musical background their biggest hit was in 1982 with Toto IV.

The album was a huge blockbuster, but not without problems. Record companies put the band on the place with the directive "give us a hit record or we'll drop you" and the pressure was on them to meet the deadline. Luckily for Toto, they did with the assistance of the smash single "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery is the result of their previous experiences. Before forming the group, the band members were session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their distinctive sound has become the standard for 1980s music, and has inspired a lot of contemporary artists.

The album begins hard with songs such as Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR songs that slowly sink into your head. But the album also contains some more mellow, jazzy tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album concludes with Great Expectations. This song blends folk and distortion AOR, which should sound completely wrong but actually is very effective.

After Toto IV, the band's fortunes began to decline. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band had to go through numerous drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in wake of drug charges and the band continued as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.

Despite the turmoil, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation that was not as successful as IV. The band managed to release an album that topped the charts, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. This album marked the end of the original Toto lineup and was also the first to feature the new singer, Simon Phillips.

The new tour of the band includes their most popular songs and rarely live cuts, along with a selection of songs from Lukather and Williams' individual catalogs.

Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was an ode to the traditional sextet style and it was a more consistent, more powerful effort that had a more grittier edge. Its edgier sound was indicative of the maturation of group, with drummer Bobby Kimball's greater proficiency on the drums, as well as a more confident, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard playing was also more sophisticated, sharper and less akin to earlier efforts.

After touring to promote their album, the group recorded their Amsterdam live show that was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set entitled Falling In Between. 토토사이트 추천 released a brand new studio album a few months later and then embarked on a tour around the world to promote the album. During this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.

In 1998, Paich & Lukather began searching through old tapes & demos to find songs that hadn't been recorded prior to. It was released in the form of a double-album called Then and Now in 2001. It was the first album by the band without a single song titled "A". The album also contained an previously unreleased track titled "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New was not a commercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis, which restricted his singing capabilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming was replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.

Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the original members of Asia, met in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility that the group could be revived. This lineup, with the exception of Howe (who was working with Yes at the time) was eventually referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also featured an appearance by singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
