THE FUTURE OF WEISSACHSUBS

Starting next year, 2027, I’ll be stepping away from resyncing new weekly Korean titles to HDTV versions, except for returning seasons of shows I’ve previously handled. The same applies to Korean OTT WEB-DL resyncs, with the exception of OTT Originals. Moving forward, I’ll focus mainly on WEB-DL releases, working on titles I enjoy and at my own pace, while occasionally taking on weekly projects that catch my interest.

I may also share tutorials for those who wish to continue HDTV NEXT resyncing. This decision comes down to the increasingly minimal differences between WEB-DL and HDTV releases, the time and effort involved, and my desire to prioritize my health and personal time.

A big thank-you to Wakkwall, a fellow uploader who will also be stepping away from weekly resyncing, and Kpopella, who will be retiring from providing weekly and regular HDTV RAWs. I’m truly grateful for all their help and support over the years, as well as to everyone who has followed and supported my uploads. Your continued support means a lot to me! ❤️

ANNOUNCEMENTS (As of 10/25/2026):

  • 📌 As a lot of Korean dramas are premiering, Wakkwall and I will be working together to upload them for you. You can check his schedule here.
  • For our Philippine followers, starting today the minimum tip will be ₱100 each. Thank you for understanding.
  • Regarding the ass formatted subtitles that cover the hardcoded Korean captions: all dramas, starting with Fifties Professionals, will now include a 1080p version. This was originally planned only for select titles, but I’ve decided to make it available for all dramas moving forward.
  • As you may have noticed, some of the titles I’m working on no longer include Viki in my weekly subtitle uploads on titles that are also available. I will no longer be uploading their subtitles as they're no longer available to be editable to volunteers. I'll be only uploading professionally made subtitles that were done by big OTTs (NF, VIU, DSNP, AMZN, HMAX)

  • Some dramas on my schedule will now be uploaded the following day. If a drama in my lineup hasn’t been uploaded for more than a day, it’s either because I forgot, I had a prior commitment, the files aren’t available yet, I feel to tired working from it or there’s an issue with the current subtitles. I’ll explain the reason in the update section of this Rentry, just in case.
  • My weekly uploads consists of RETAIL WEB-DL (for NF, AMZN, DSNP, VIU, and KCW) and HDTV NEXT resynced. TVING, WAVVE, NF KR, K-Broadcaster VOD or CPNG resynced will uploaded as a complete batch or sometimes weekly depending to my mood.
  • HI/SDH/[CC] subtitles: Resynced versions will only be available if they’re based on the original translation—not the English dub script. If they’re based on the dub script, only the WEB-DL RETAIL version will be uploaded.
  • I accept requests if you tip me ($5+ via Ko-Fi, ₱100+ via G-Cash, or 1000 Bonus Points on Avistaz), and if the subs are from an accessible OTT source. NO FREE REQUESTS.
  • I won’t share drama download links publicly for safety reasons. If you need help finding one, DM me on Twitter/X (link above) and I’ll send recommendations.
  • You may use my uploads to be based for translations to other language or reupload them to other sites, but please credit me (WeissachSubs or Spicyricecakesubs) in the description or within the subs.
  • Whenever possible, support the actors, creators and everyone behind them by streaming them legally by subscribing them to their perspective platforms or purchasing licensed merchandise.
  • I’ve made a separate page for source acronyms to help you understand the labels used in my uploads. Check out the list here.
  • TTEOKBOKKIsubs has been inactive since April 29, 2024. If you're looking for uploads under that name, check the archive via Sub-DL or SubSource. Some files may be missing, and I might not have them anymore.
