Bot-Making Resources for JanitorAI.com

Resources gathered by lunaxlee

What is this page for?

This document contains a list of sources that may help you in creating your bot. All sources are guaranteed to be free and accessible.

Why was this moved to a rentry?

A lot of reasons. Such as formatting, Google docs collecting emails/real names, etc. (Don't worry, I didn't leak any information and it scared me to even see people's information).

Some documents may be outdated or are centered for a specific API. I try my best to label them correctly. If you want anything added, edited, removed, etc please contact me via Discord by tagging me in JanitorAI server's Bot-Creator Channel or in the bot-creator-haven channel in the Janitor Creator server (Discord username is lunaxlee).

OpenAI sources

OpenAI/GPT related platforms that may help in bot creation.

  • Tokenizer - counts how many tokens your script has. Useful for when for some reason you don’t have access to JAI to count tokens.
    • Tiktokenizer - alternative to above; allows you to switch between gpt(and other) models to see differences in how they are perceived, see how much (in dollars) an input would be per prompt, see the actual tokens etc.
  • ChatGPT - useful for coming up with descriptions, one word descriptors and more. Do note that they do not have information for characters and other things made after September 2021. Your OpenAI and ChatGPT accounts are separate so you don’t have to worry if you were banned from OpenAI.

Bot Info Sources

  • Wiki Fandom - Usually a good source of canon information.

IMPORTANT!

Don't be completely reliable on wiki fandom pages as they are created by fans, as such, information logged into the pages may be outdated, heavily mistranslated/misunderstood from the canon content, or do not provide useful information that the API can use. It's also worth noting that copying wiki fandom into your bot definitions does not make the bot act more accurate, and straight up copying is theft itself.

You may find good and reliable information at regular social media platforms where certain fandoms go. However it should still be noted that no piece of information you find online may be totally accurate unless it's from the creator of the media themselves. So when you're doing research for your bots, make sure to compare info and determine what's a headcanon/fanon or canon.

  • Fantasy Name Generators - more for OC creators; this website provides name generators suitable for specific themes, culture, locations, fandom, etc. They also have generators that can generate descriptions of locations, buildings, things, etc.
  • Bait002's Automatic Bot Maker - a JanitorAI bot that helps you with making bots.

Art sources

Support your artists!

Although it's common to see bot creators use AI-generated art for their bots, it's still better to use authentic art. When you use non-AI-generated art just make sure to see if the artist allows reposts/usage of the art, and to credit them!

Reliable Art Platforms

  • Pinterest.com - people usually repost art on Pinterest. It's a good place to start searching for specific art. Just makes sure to do an image search using google on the art to find the original source/artist.
  • ZeroChan - website were art is usually reposted as well, but this is more like an archive. Art here are usually posted with its original source and artist.
  • Danbooru - same as ZeroChan
  • Other social media platforms, like Twitter/X and Tumblr are creators spaces where you can definitely find art that you want.

AI-Generation Platforms

All are free! More platforms will be added soon.

No info listed?

Most that is provided here are added after observing how many creator use the platforms, or are suggested by creators. Some platforms may not have pros, cons, or usage provided due to the lack of information given by creators directly.

Site Usage Pros Cons
Pixai.art Image generation consumes tokens. Users are able to claim free 10,000 tokens once daily. Users are otherwise able to buy more, pay for a subscription, answer certain surveys, create their own LoRa and models, or share generated photos to gain more tokens. wide selection of LoRas and models; features like editing using ai, different sizes; face fix feature (fixes distorted facial features), reference image upload, paint your own image for the ai to reference...; priority generation for quicker results; NSFW allowed (but not on IOS app) most models may produce images with childlike features, hence the need for negative prompting or very specific prompting; enabling priority will increase token cost
Tensor.art 100 free credits per day. Each image generation costs a minimum average of 2.5 credits various LoRas and models no known cons yet
Bing you get 15 fast generations per day, but you can continue to generate beyond 15 generations with just a minor increase to wait time
Imgnai does a variety of different styles realistic, anime, ETC., SFW images are free, unlimited generations on slow generation speed, image size is good, sub prices are reasonable or you can buy just credits NSFW requires paid credits or a subscription, Occasionally it blocks certain NSFW images even with paid, Images will have a water mark on them
Perchance Totally free even NSFW images, Can generate as many images as you want, Does a lot of different styles of art, Anatomy can come out kinda funky sometimes or it'll give very deformed strange results, Image size is small so it'll need upscaling, sometimes the images are not jpg/png when you save them they're webbp so you'll either need to screenshot the image to save as a JPG or convert the file type.
