why anti-capitalism?
capitalism is defined as an economic and political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit. this type of policy has not been beneficial for anyone but corporations. 13,690 people starve to death in America per year as a direct result of capitalism and exploitation of workers. capitalism, at its core, was a system of economy made to make as much money as fast as possible, and this has resulted in vehement abuse and exploitation of workers in America and many other capitalist societies. in America, there are roughly 2 million victims of workplace violence each year.
this is also why leftists are anti-establishment. anti-establishment is defined as opposing the establishment or established authority. exploitative corporations, like Amazon or Nestle, are the establishment in a capitalist society because they control distribution of funds for such a large group of people. people rely on such companies, because their products are relatively cheap and practically everywhere- and yet, not ethically sourced. you cannot be anti-capitalism without being anti-establishment.
how does racism even affect anyone anymore?
poverty rates for black people in America have always been higher than any other race in America. around 30 million people in America remain uninsured of healthcare, and about half of them are people of color. even with insurance, Black workers are less likely to have access to paid sick days and healthcare. Black and Hispanic workers are also less likely to work in sectors that allows them to work at home. Americans of color are not receiving care at the same rate as white Americans.
the police and prison system disproportionately affects people of color. fatal police violence is the 6th leading cause of death for men ages 25 to 29 across all racial groups. anti-black hate crimes increase every. single. year. you cannot draw a blind eye to stuff that is indisputably true. over-policing is still happening, and is responsible for the death of George Floyd, Brianna Taylor, and many other black people, people of color, and queer people in America. these are groups that are very commonly dehumanized and placed on a lower level. you do not get to decide the humanity of a person based on factors they had nothing to do with. you cannot shoot a black person, or anyone, because they "scared" you. existing should not be scary to white people, but it is.
how is the trans agenda affecting America?
there is no trans agenda. wanting your rights protected and needs met is not an agenda. it is a "god given right," as conservatives and right-wingers like to put it. if you don't believe that, i highly encourage you to re-read the declaration of independence and the constitution. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." it is undeniably unconstitutional to deny trans people the right to their happiness. gender affirming care has shown to have extremely positive effects on one's personal happiness.
receiving gender affirming care has a 42% reduction rate in psychological distress and suicidal ideation in trans people spread out through America. this is in contrast to the rates of satisfaction from those who experience body dysmorphia- a completely separate disorder that has nothing to do with gender. people often compare the two, but the fact is, it is very easy for someone with body dysmorphia to be dissatisfied with their cosmetic surgery, or find some other part of their body to hyperfocus on. therefore, gender dysphoria is distinct from body dysmorphia.
since 2019, hate crimes towards transgender people have increased by 41%. this ranges from vandalism to homicide. ever since 2010, the rates of homicide towards trans people have been steadily increasing. think about it. if trans people stopped experiencing transphobia, or experienced less of it on a daily basis, then that 42% reduction rate in psychological distress would be much higher, because they wouldn't have anything to be distressed about it.
under the 14th amendment, trans people are entitled to getting whatever medical procedures they ask for. anyone is, actually. that's the whole point. on top of that, most companies that provide medical procedures, cosmetic or not, require patients to first, at the very least, consult someone about what they would like. during these consultations, the consultant in question informs the consultee of what exactly will happen before, during, and after the surgery. to do otherwise would be illegal and immoral, and is grounds for suing. this is called informed consent.
now, when it comes to trans people, it goes beyond just informed consent. by the end of it all, the trans person in question is not just informed, but is encouraged to step down from their decision several times. they are constantly reminded of the consequences of getting certain procedures, by the internet, by their friends and family, by their very own therapists and doctors. and that's if they even get to talk to a doctor. there are hundreds of stories from trans people and detransitioners alike who have had to wait literal years before getting to consult someone, and when they do, they must be assessed by a therapist to see if they are "mentally sound" enough to be able to transition, then wait even longer before actually getting whatever they're getting. that's more than enough time to think about what you're doing, and whether or not you actually want to do it.*
how will we protect ourselves without guns?
you will find that gun violence actually disproportionately affects the death rates of children, to the point where it's the leading cause of death amongst children in the U.S.A, not drag queen story time. Compare that to Canada, where the leading causes of death in children are either accidents or diseases, and gun violence doesn't even make the list. that means that the U.S.A has a gun problem.
87% of people who purchase guns for the purpose of murder have a history of violent ideation, and yet, 77% of mass shooters from 1966-2019 had purchased their gun legally. this shows a gross lack of background checks, psychological evaluations, gun training, and most importantly, a wait period before actually getting a gun, to let people think about why they want a gun in the first place. you need a license to drive a car, but, federally, you can get a gun without one.
as of April 13th, 2023, 401 children have been killed in shootings this year, and there have been overall 146 mass shootings. there have only been 103 days in 2023. if you do not see an issue with that, you are either ignorant or outright moronic.
