PiviGames

Context

  • August 19, 2024: An allegation has been made against PiviGames, a leading website for games in the Spanish community, where a user claims that their "entire computer was hacked," resulting in the loss of access to their Instagram, Microsoft, and YouTube accounts.
    • The user replied by providing some screenshots in response to r/Piracy's request for evidence to back up their claims, which was appreciated, but the screenshots did not show any connection to PiviGames and instead revealed a separate issue of user compromise that could have originated from anywhere.
    • Since that time, the original poster has not shared any further details and acknowledged to being unable to recall specific information, which has led to increased skepticism among other users regarding OP's initial assertions about the incident that occurred in February 2023, more than a year ago.

Safety

  • PiviGames was evaluated by r/Piracy, which conducted tests on two random titles that both returned a clean status on VirusTotal, with results available here and here.
