WorldofPCGames

Context

  • February 8, 2024: The owner of Worldofpcgames messaged r/Piracy to provide some clarity after the website was flagged as unsafe. In response, r/Piracy asked for more information about the situation.
    • Initially, the moderators of r/PiratedGames were reviewing WorldofPCGames when a request from the owner of a fraudulent website came to light. This situation resulted in a misunderstanding, leading some to think that both websites were comparable and involved in deceptive practices.

Ownership

  • Allegedly, the owner later proved ownership on CS.RIN.RU and was removed from the unsafe list there, but not on Reddit. The assumption was that both sites shared the same hosting provider, but the rightful owner could not afford the hosting due to their modest daily income, and provided evidence of that claim.
  • The domain of the website has since changed from worldof-pcgames.net to worldofpcgames.net.

Safety

  • WorldofPCGames has been now recognized as a safe platform by both r/Piracy and FMHY with more information to reinforcing it.

⚠️ Disclaimer

  • r/Piracy consistently strives to remain impartial and provide users with the best and safest sites. However, the situation can shift from safe to risky at any moment, so it's important to exercise caution at all times.
  • To assert that a site is unsafe, a user must provide relevant evidence, which may include screenshots, videos, virus reports, logs, or any other documentation that illustrates a connection to the site.
