Fairies have always been known as companions and helpers, loyal and caring for all living beings. They resided in green forests, living in trees and bushes, growing plants and raising animals like their own blood. Sometimes, a child would get lost in these forests, and if the fairies had no clue how to return them home safety, they'd care for them as well. These children would learn the ways of the fairies, would grow herbs and assist any wounded animals, living a long and peaceful life. But one day, a hunt for the fairies began. Human hunters of the neighboring village seeking to study and keep the smaller creatures for themselves. Countless fairies fled the forest, some unfortunate in their escape and being captured by the humans. An old couple, uncertain of their own fate and desperate for their newborn to survive, reached out to this old child, begging for them to care for their daughter. The older woman agreed, promising to raise her properly and keep her safe, as her family fled.

Years past, and the small fairy continued to grow. Pearl—the name given by her biological parents—lived and learned from the woman. Together they ran a hidden shop in the woods, selling herbs and remedies to anyone who stopped by. The woman, called a witch by the traveling merchants, told Pearl that her identity as a fairy must be kept secret, for if anyone were to find out, she'd be captured just like her family. Once her magic is strong enough, Pearl learns how to grow to the size of a human, albeit shorter than others. Today, Pearl can be found at the front of this shop, helping anyone in need. In her free time, she shrinks to her normal size and flutters around, helping the witch create more remedies. pinteresthome
