“Judgement? This better be you on the chart with how rare you namefags are.” Might be feeling more out of it than usual, but there’s no goddamn way anyone would normally address me by my fucking AO3 handle.

“Where the hell...” Oh, this nausea’s killing me, fuck. I swallow that down and turn to the source of the voice. Two figures are standing between me and the doorway. The smaller one’s armed with a hockey stick. “Yep, yeah, that’s me, I’m Judgement.”

“Very good. Let’s see your chart. Name, Judgement. Sex...” The taller figure, an imposing anthro dog man in glasses and scrubs, looks up from their clipboard and glances at me. “Just going to put you down as mental illness. Date of Birth?” I give him my answer and he silently nods, taking down more notes. “Alright, everything looks good. Just need you to solve this captcha for me before we bring you to your room.” I nod, sitting up and fighting a wave of nausea as I do so.

The smaller figure holsters the hockey stick, producing a solid flat plane and pen stylus as she approaches. Kinda looks like Kris with the blue skin and dog ears, but the height and exaggerated hourglass fig- Chara. Yeah, that tracks. “Would you please fill this out for me, anon?”

“Since when was I the one in control?” That smile... jesus, why do I even try? I quickly fill out the captcha and hit Post.

“Excellent.” She makes her way back to the dog man, handing him the plane.

He nods again, and steps back into the hallway, gesturing to his right in a pose that makes me recognize how he’s built like a Swatchling. “Follow us down the hall, faggot.” I nod, easing myself off of the exam table and follow the pair out of the room. “Watch your step. The Modgegobblers aren’t due to clean this floor for another five minutes.”

Ugh, it’s sticking to my grippy socks. Oh, the hospital gown has a repeating green clover leaf pattern, that’s cute. It’s cold, so this bathrobe’s coming in handy for that. The black scarf is too. Almost comfortable enough for me to forget that I’ve woken up in some kind of fucked up Undertale/Deltarune isekai situation, but the familiar green shade of my skin is able to bring me back.

“Wait, where are we?”

The janny shakes his head disapprovingly. “Of course you don’t remember... right, you’ve been admitted to UT General Hospital. Schizoid Wing, to be specific, along with you other lightner bastards. We’re short-staffed as it is, so just cooperate while we manage and we won’t have to banish you to solitary.”

“...so we’re in hell.”

“Basically.”

“Cool.” Wait, shit, this could be really bad. “Where am I going to be... staying?”

The janny lifts my admittance sheet, revealing a map of the facility underneath. That red X must be where I’m going. “Luckily, you’ve contributed enough to the threads since Chapters 3 and 4 to be placed with the artfags. The other floor has a 41% survival rate. For your and the underage patients’-”

“Jesus fuck, I ship Spamtenna. If you’ve got my AO3 name on my chart, that should be there too.”

He flips back to the first page, squinting at a block of text on my file, crossing a few lines out.. “I’ll update your file in the system after you’re in your room. Regardless, we’ll be taking the elevator to your floor. You haven’t been trained to combat rogue darkners, and some of the more insulated patients aren’t used to physical interaction. They... tend to overcompensate.”

“Whatever.”

Alright, made it to the elevator. I mean... this isn’t exactly a battle, but maybe I can CHECK these two’s stats while we’re all here.

* JANNY – AT 5 DF 10
* Getting too old for this shit.

* CHARDERLY – AT 9 DF 9
* At your humble service.

Yeah, don’t wanna piss these guys off. Not if I can’t defend myself, anyway. Maybe I should check my stats and inventory.

Alright, broke with no items. Great start, Judge.

Shit, these are about on-par with Ralsei’s stats. Low attack and health, moderate defense, high magic.

Oh, LV 2 Artfag. Anons have saved my work. Hehe, yeah they have.

Hope my weapon isn’t my... Black Scarf. Oh, I’m fucked. At least this ID Band gives + 1 Defense and + 2 Magic.

Need to check Skills now... oh thank god I can still act with a MAGIC tab. J-Action, Sketch, Heal Prayer. The hell is Sketch- oh! Copy a random enemy’s attack for the duration of the battle. Surely this can only result in positive outcomes, with no negative consequences to look forward to whatsoever!

Oh hey the elevator dinged. The doors open, and the musky scent is already way less noticeable. Nothing’s sticking to the darkner staff’s shoes, either. Really moving on up in the world.

The walls are a nauseatingly bright blue, covered with graffiti and printed pages attached with painter’s tape. All of it depicts various depictions of familiar characters from both Undertale and Deltarune, generally with older depictions, exaggerated proportions, or both. Tons of black and green writing, too, contrasting with the red room numbers above each door.

The Charderly suddenly perks up, wielding her hockey stick. “Janny, Impost at our 12 o’clock.“ Oh god it’s charging us at full speed, this scarf isn’t gonna do shit. “Awaiting further instruction.”

“Proceed.”

The short nurse proceeds to charge at the feral darkner, and... okay, I think it’s down.

She’s not stopping.

Oh, Darkners bleed red too. At least these ones do.

The Janny lets out a sharp whistle, and the little darkner sociopath skips back towards his side drenched in blood.

She stops right in front of me, beaming. Seeing the whites of someone’s eyes above their pupil is a bad sign, right? “Some Darkners may not be SPARED. In these cases, it’s KILL or BE KILLED.”

“Duly noted.” She doesn’t move until the taller darkner pokes at her with his stylus, and I keep my distance as we move forward.

As mangled as the corpse is, I can still make out the general shape. Looks like it crawled on all fours like a wide lizard, head and tail on either end of it long-ways. The teeth that flew out of its mouth are simple triangles. Oh, you can see the end of the text near the tail, peeking out from under the blood. Wait... ah fuck I stepped in it. Mods might be pissed. Janny’s probably not gonna be too pleased, either.

He looks down at me when I turn the corner and glares after a few steps and sighs. “I’ll have the Charderly bring you a new pair of socks.”

“Yeah. I’ll uh, watch where I’m going, from now on.”

He stops in front of a door with (You) written next to the number. “We’re here. Take off your socks before entering, we just cleaned this room.” I do what he says while Chara opens the door, and step inside.

“Oh my god, Judge, it’s actually you!” An excitable black and white darkner hops up from my bed, wrapping her arms around me before staff shuts the door. “Its so nice to meet you like this, I can’t... help it!”

Wait a fuck, I recognize that worn sticker. I return the hug tightly as memories come flooding back. “Oh my god, you’re my laptop.”

“Yes!!” She breaks the hug to look me over. “Oh wow, you’re a Blank Mage, incredible! It’s just like I hoped you’d be, with how many creations you’ve saved on my hard drive!”

“Yeah, no kidding. Wow, you look a lot like Queen.” She’s giggling, but I’m not wrong here. The resemblance is there with the eye visor and humanoid proportions. She’s shorter though, with the clothing pattern of her clothes resembling more of a mechanic’s jumpsuit with joint sockets and the aforementioned stickers. Thick frazzled wires flow out from back of her head, unlike the Queen’s smooth helmet. There’s a few screws loose, among other wear and tear from an object that’s been through as much of her lifespan as I have since I got her.

Of course she’s more stacked too, but it’s a Dark World based off 4chan. It’s to be expected. “Like what you see?” She sticks her tongue out, with >wink displayed on her visor.

“Hmph.” She giggles as she sits back down on the bare cot. I sigh and sit beside her, opting to lean against the wall to accommodate for my dogshit posture. She notices, leaning up against me, content. I am not as content with the screw now pressed into my side. “Hey, uh...”

“Please, call me Lynn!” Oh like Linux, hah.

“Eh, alright. You wouldn’t happen to have a screwdriver on you, would you Lynn?”

She shakes her head, >idk on display. “Only Artificers come equipped with tools, I think. We’d have better luck finding one on the code floor, but we’d need to seriously level up before taking on most of the classes out here.”

“Ugh, you’ve got to be kidding me. Do we need to full clear every floor to get the best equipment, or will we be able to beat the boss and seal the Fountain before-” I’m interrupted with a choked gasp. I turn to Lynn and... “Wait, I didn’t-”

“You want to seal the Fountain already?” Her lips are quivering, her eyes are two semicolons. “But you just got to your room, we finally get to meet. Do you really want this to be over so soon?” Christ, it’s too early for this kind of heartbreak.

I wrap my arms around her reassuringly. “It’s not you, Lynn. You’re already the highlight of this place, I promise.” She’s still trembling. “This is just. A lot to process, at once. And frankly, the implications of a Dark World working like this already scare the absolute shit out of me.”

I pull away to hold her face in her hands. “It’d be a shame to see you turned to stone, yeah?” >. . ., followed by >yeah. She seems stable enough now.

I lower my hands down over hers, smiling at her from behind the scarf. “Besides, it’ll take a while to get to the Fountain anyway, right? I don’t see the harm in taking our time so we don’t fuck it all up right at the finish line.”

“True!” I can get used to that smile, I think. “We’re pretty far from the roof, and the elevators are for staff darkners only! We’ll be stuck with the stairs for a while, so be careful!”

“Well damn, I can’t complain now. You warned me about stairs, bro.”

“I told you, dawg!!” Alright, she gets my sense of humor. “If we are going to be sealing the Fountain though, we better not start until lights out. Mods and other staff will be asleep, and most Imposts are in Yotsuba B, so they can’t see in the dark. As long as we stick to this side of the wing away from the Europosters that get the same idea, we should be able to level up pretty quickly!”

“Yeah, sounds good. No reason not to trust my laptop, right?” She nods eagerly.

Yeah these loose screws’ll piss me off eventually. I’ll just tighten them the best I can by hand.

She inhales sharply at the sudden jolt, but if the moans didn’t indicate how this was making her feel, the hearts scrolling across her visor sure do. Despite the waning half-drugged haze giving way to exhaustion, her reactions still manage to get me to subconsciously rub my thighs together. Yeah, I am in no condition to start fucking my computer.

She seems satisfied by the time I’m done, at least. Oh, shit, her visor’s displaying a low battery icon. “Hehe, whoops!” She pushes a button on her chest, a panel on her thigh retracting to reveal a rolled up extension cord. “Be a dear and plug me in, would you?”

Yeah, I’ll just plug her into the wall right here. Oh no shit, I haven’t heard that meme I replaced the charging sound with in a while.

She yawns, curling up on the empty cot, and I don’t take too long to join her.

Nice, she’s warm enough for me not to need a blanket.

Sleep comes easy.
