Timeline

1935 — A devastating virus known as The Great Cull sweeps across the globe, killing roughly half of humanity. The collapse of society brings mechanical technology to a standstill. In its place, biotechnology and genetic engineering surge forward — the only tools capable of rebuilding the workforce and fighting the virus.
1965 — After decades of experimentation, the first successful demi-human reaches adulthood. This milestone marks the beginning of large-scale testing and signals hope for a biological cure to the Cull.
2035 — Society has largely stabilized. Traditional nations no longer exist; in their place stands The United Republic, a single governing body spanning what was once North America, Central America, and South America. Nature has flourished in the aftermath of the collapse. Demi-humans, however, are treated not as citizens but as property — assets, experiments, with no legal autonomy.

2065 — Stability unravels again. Human-demi-human hybrids begin appearing, some humans start displaying ABO biological traits, and a growing number of demi-humans are found without their mandatory chips. A new virus emerges — lethal to humans, but harmless to demi-humans. The world fractures.
Among the chaos, two rare individuals are born: a human male with omega biology, and a human female with alpha biology — both hybrids, both hunted by authorities who view them as threats. The female is captured and killed. The male survives, and his survival sets history in motion.
2075 — The conflict has hardened into open war between humans and demi-humans. Demi-humans establish The Sylvanrood Institute, a sovereign nation governed and populated entirely by their own kind. At its head stands Prometheus — the surviving omega male — now a symbol of the revolution.
2105 — Demi-humans win the war, but the Earth has been left deeply wounded by decades of conflict. A new directive is issued: space travel is authorized. The colonization of other planets begins.

2130 — Decades after their victory, the Earth's continued deterioration forces a new directive: space travel is authorized and the colonization of other planets begins. The transition is turbulent — early colonial disputes and resistance from human holdouts spark fresh conflict.
~2138 — Prometheus is killed in battle during the early colonial period, dying in his early seventies. He does not live to see the civilization he helped build fully stabilized, but his legacy becomes the philosophical foundation of the new order.
2150+ — Colonies are firmly established across new worlds, each governed by a joint omega and alpha council. Demi-humans hold primary authority, and the discrimination of the old world is absent from founding law. The guiding philosophy of this new age is peace and long-term stability.

Dr. Maren Ashford — The biogineer responsible for creating the first demi-human. A pioneering and morally complex figure in the history of the Cull era.
Eli Voss — The first human to present as a male omega. Hunted down and killed before reaching adulthood.
Ines Calloway — A human female alpha. Captured and subjected to years of experimentation; died at age 23 in captivity.
Director Cade Harlow — The human faction's leader and primary antagonist of the Sylvanrood Institute. A public tyrant concealing a private secret: he is himself an omega.
Nadia Serrano — A female alpha and covert spy. She infiltrated the human leadership by seducing its head, then leaked critical intelligence to the Sylvanrood Institute. A quiet but decisive force in the revolution's success.
Maximo "Max" Hale (Human, Omega) — Head of logistics and finance. The mind behind the Institute's resources and long-term planning; indispensable to the revolution's survival. The only human in command in the Sylvanrood Institute

Prometheus — The first omega male and human/demi-human hybrid. A founding leader of the Sylvanrood Institute and the face of the demi-human revolution. He fought until his death in battle in his seventies, becoming the movement's most enduring symbol.

Kadin Pena (Wolf, Dominant Omega) — Military commander of the Sylvanrood Institute. Fierce, disciplined, and respected on the battlefield.
Finn Rios (Cat, Omega) — Morale and people's leader. Skilled at maintaining hope within demi-human communities and managing civilian affairs. Also leads the Omega Alliance.

Martin Russo (Bear, Alpha) — Enforcer and army commander for the alpha forces. Responsible for keeping alpha soldiers unified and their loyalty secured.
Jakob Porter (Lion, Alpha) — Head strategist and overall alpha leader. The primary planner behind the Sylvanrood Institute's military and political operations.
