Room 1
After yet again freeing several poor animals from traps, Eiden can't help himself from shouting to the heavens.
Ahhhhh!! Enough of this shit!!
Oh? Young master seems a little irritable today.
!
Wah! When the hell did you get here? Are you a fox or a damn cat? Creeping up on me like that...
I arrived while you were untying those silly squirrels.
What did you say!? I'm so angry right now!
Eh? What did I do to get the young master in such a huff? Please do share...
(Smiles)
......
(He's not gonna change, so what's the point of even asking!? I can't beat him in an argument and I've got absolutely no chance in a real fight... Gahh, I'm so damn angry!!)
I'm not joking around. To put it bluntly, can you stop setting up all these ridiculous traps and causing trouble for all the poor, helpless animals of the forest? I don't care about monsters or whatever, but these animals are peaceful and pose no threat to anyone!
I'm always finding all kinds of different creatures stuck in your traps. Now they think that I'm some sort of savior who's going to vanquish the "big evil yokai" of the forest.
(I got Quincy to translate for me last time but they couldn't seem to get the fact that the Grand Sorcerer and I are different people. So they somehow believe I can get Kuya under my control... They've got way too much in faith in me...)
Me? Causing trouble? Why ever would I do such a thing?
Then what the hell are you doing putting all these traps and illusions all over the forest!? You're not a hunter and I know you're definitely not going to eat the animals caught in these traps. All you're doing is causing them to go hungry themselves whilst nearly scaring them to death...
Why the hell do you keep doing this!??
Does one need to have a reason to do something? Fine, if I had to give a reason for this kind of behavior, I suppose it would be because... I'm bored?
... Why am I not even a little bit surprised by that answer?...
(If you cut open this damn "fox", I'm sure all you would see is pure darkness! Trying to reason with him is a total waste of time!)
sigh... I don't dare to think what kind of dark shadow you've cast over all the creatures around here!
Well, whatever... If it's really true that you've been doing all this because you're bored... Then can't you find some other way to entertain yourself? There are so many different ways to have fun, there's gotta be something else you can do instead!
(Since this is all because he's too bored, I just have to find something else for him to focus his attention on!)
Hmm... although you sound ridiculous, I suppose I can't say no to the young master's pleas.
Like I said, there's millions of different ways to have fun --
If young master can find me an interesting "toy" to play with, I'll consider not making trouble in the forest anymore!
... So you admit you've been causing trouble! Geez... forget it. Just wait until I find you that "toy"! Then you'll eat those damn words of yours!
Hehe, it would be my pleasure. I'm looking forward to just what intriguing items young master is able to find for me.
Room 2
Hahh... I'm beat!
Damn fox... making me run around searching for "toys"! Reminds me of when I used to get all those bizarre requests from clients...
(This room looks a little different than before... There's a few new items and some of the stuff that was here before has disappeared. Has Kuya been updating and tidying up his weird collection?)
... I have no idea how he decides whether an item is worth collecting or not... Is it just stuff that he happens to find interesting?
Ahh, that's way too hard to gauge. Him and I are on totally different wavelengths...
Well, I've found a bunch of items he probably hasn't encountered before and might be interested in. Fingers crossed he takes a liking to something...
Eiden is fast losing confidence in his bag of "treasures".
Oh? Young master is back already. Much faster than I expected, are you sure you put enough effort into your search?
Don't underestimate my ability to satisfy a client... cough cough Excuse me... Anyway, I put a lot of hard work into finding these treasures for you, so you better take a good look at them!
Eiden pulls out several handcrafted sculptures procured from specialist shops or received from the local tribes. There are also ceremonial tools, ornaments and other decorative items. He arranges them all neatly in front of Kuya.
Hmph... seen this before... this is nowhere near up to my standards... and this is garbage, if I'm not mistaken?
Garbage!? I found that after hours of searching in the storeroom at Aster's mansion! I knew you would be super picky, but there's more! Look at these --
Eiden pulls out educational items, building blocks, puppets, etc. He demonstrates how to use each one as he puts them on display for Kuya.
Hmm, these items...
What do you think? There's some pretty interesting stuff here, right? Not only items I found at Aster's mansion, but even special items that the local tribes shared with me. These toy aren't just fun, they also help to train your mind and improve hand-eye coordination!
Look at these nine rings linked together, the aim is to find a way to separate them all. I've spent ages trying and I still haven't been able to solve it... There's gotta be something here that can keep your attention for at least a little while...!
It's a pity, young master, but there is nothing new to me here. In fact, I remember throwing away that particular toy not long ago. I suppose one of the tribes people must have picked it up.
You threw it... What the hell!? Are you kidding me!??
You just need to work out the trick behind it and you can solve it in no time. It's nowhere near fun enough. I have no reason to deceive you. Looks like young master really does think I'm evil. So cruel...
Ah... ermm... I never said that you were evil...
You can say it all you like, I'm not going to change.
You!... Hmph, just give me a little more time, I'll definitely find a "toy" that'll blow you away!
(I've got it... I'll go with my specialty - sex toys! I refuse to believe he's seen them all before! And if he has... I'll design something brand new for him!)
As he watches Eiden leave full of determination not to admit defeat, Kuya can't help but grin.
Hehe, there goes the most fun "toy" of all... Give it your all, young master.
